Tylenol is a pain reliever.
Aspirin will relieve pain and inflammation, but it is also a blood thinner. The dentist probably advised Tylenol to relieve any discomfort but didn't want to take a chance on having the bleeding continue.
Ice - now - is also good. Trust me.
First wisdom tooth I had removed, the anesthetic hadn't worn off so I did nothing. That night I was one sorry person.
When I had the second wisdom tooth removed, I immediately applied ice and kept it on for 20 minutes, off for 10 minutes, for hours. Had absolutely no pain.

None of the above. It's in a 'class' by itself. It contains acetemenophen which is not aspirin or any derivative of aspirin. Excedrin contains acetemenophen and caffeine .

Tylenol is an acetominiphin which is asprin free. It's the best thing to take. They tell you not to take asprin because it thins your blood and you have a harder time healing.
