(we're 17)
We have been together for almost 5 months and every thing was going fine till my girlfriend told me that she felt really insecure when I hang out or talk to this girl who I used to like. I told my girlfriend how much I love her and care for her, but she still feels insecure about this friend. This dilemma went on for weeks and we finally came to a decision for me to cut this friend out of my life. I felt horrible knowing that i made my girlfriend feel insecure, but now, I feel horrible of losing a great friend.

What should i do?

Reconnect with the friend and tell your gf to get over it. Once you start cutting people out of your life to please her, where does it end?

Hmm... I think in a way you made the right decision. Now she knows she can depend on you and that you have HER feelings at heart.

But.....
If she were more mature, she should feel awful for taking a good friend of yours away.

You guys are only 17, take this as a learning experience.

It sounds like your girlfriend is just jealous and is being selfish b/c if you told her that you wouldn't cheat on her and you truely meant then she should believe and trust that you won't. Personally I think you should reconnect with your friend, make sure your girlfriend knows that you don't mean to hurt her and that you won't, hopefully she'll understand. Good Luck

At 17 you are too young to even be in a serious relationship.
You should be playing the Field and experiencing life.

She is too immature to deal and you are too immature to realize it.

There is a radio show you should be listening to, if it does not air in your town you can listen on line.

I was in the same problem, My boyfriend liked talking to this one girl, and I didnt really like him talking to her cause she was single and everything and it just didnt seem right.
I trusted him but still....If you love her as much as you told her then you shouldnt feel bad, if you love her then you have to be willing you give up anything for her.

You have already done it. Say goodbye to this girlfriend if you didn't do anything to make her feel insecure.

You're young man...Live...If she doesn't trust you that's her problem. Giving up friends is something you do when your settling down. Girls get jealous, but if you're tough and you do what you do, trust me, they get over it.

Just stay faithfull, and reassure her when she needs it.
