The reason some things may taste strange after using toothpaste is because there is a surfactant in toothpaste that suppresses the taste buds that detect sweetness.....scientific explaination.

Because most toothpastes are minty, and that clashes w/ the tartness of OJ and the smoothness of coffee.

because they are both very strong drinks.
orange juice is acidic,
and coffee is really strong.
