One of the side effects/benefits of alcohol is that it dilates your blood vessels. This is why it's good for the heart.

By dilating the blood vessels is allows your blood closer to your skin surface allowing for heat loss.

This is why a drink "warms you up" and alcoholics die of hypothermia.

Actually, ALL alcoholic bevs lower body temperature. That's why drunks die of hypothermia more than anyone else. The 'heat' you feel when you drink is just an immediate reaction to the substance.

Impossible.

Any alcoholic beverage would contain some percentage of alcohol (ethanol) that will be broken down by enzymes in our body. One of the by-product of this break down is heat. That's why you feel warm after you consume alcohol.
