No. I am not superstitious. I do not believe that any physical occurences that do not relate to me can affect me in any way. I.e If I walk under a ladder, the only chance of getting bad luck is if the ladder's loose on the floor. It's pretty bad if it slips. lol. Black cats are nothing but cute. 13 is the day I was born, Friday is my favourite weekday. Any more proof of non-superstition needed?
Yet I do believe in the supernatural. A very different kettle of fish, my friend. Is the ability to sense another person's mood not supernatural? I have no control of it, but it happens to me. I also experience strange coincidences all the time, almost like premonitions, once again not under my control. I believe that a person can be controlled by the spirit of one who has passed on.
I also believe that the same spirit may even take up residence inside the conscious of a person's mind. And finally, if magic (which is a supernatural force) doesn't exist, what did Christians used to burn witches for? If it's because they were not Christian, why are there so many religions that were never wiped by Christianity?
Apologies to any Wiccan people here, Christians have a lot to answer for, as the majority of you are way more peaceful than they are, yet their stories always focus on the unfaithful few. Typical, innit?

No. superstitions come about because of fear and the imagination working through the nervous system. Supernatural belief is understanding that the flux of human life and the system of nature are incredibly complex and thus require intelligence in order to discern its working. Intelligence is a part of nature in the sense that people are natural and contain intelligence, however, if nature is complex, and what we call nature is the objects, laws, universe, time and space, then the form that nature is contained (including what the universe and time/space is contained) is called the supernatural. It is called this because it is the laws of nature, thus, super-nature. It can be thought of as the nature of nature.

Anything? Or everything?
Because if you say anything - then you include a lot of the most brilliant scientists. Including Einstein.
Contrary to Dawkins who claims science will eventually explain everything - Einstein stated that the very best scientists understood that somethings could not be explained and therefore must be taken as supernatural.

NO!
The world was flat once, there was no aura, telepathy didnt exist and peoples minds couldnt affect objects.
All have now been scientifically proven despite us calling Ancients backward for such beliefs science has now shown the Ancient Egyptians some 40,000 years ago already knew this!

"What appears to be coming at you, is coming from you."
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
If you don't understand the nature of something it's supernatural to you.
If you can't identify a flying object it's a UFO.

If that person believes in something which goes against logic, yes.
But if that person believes in something that is compatible with logic and critical thinking, no.

Anyone who is superstitious, is not yet all knowing in His ways. Put down the book, stop the endless study, and know it is in you.
