I think since she is a part of the wedding party, the best thing to wear would be a suit. If you are not comfortable with suits, then nice dress pants and a clean shirt with a nice tie would do. Jackets are truly formal and you never go wrong with them so I suggest you may wear this.

Try to stay away from casual clothing as this is a special day for the couple and it would be nice for you to make the effort to get there all dressed up.

A good haircut and clean shave would also make a good impression since you would be having a date along.

If the couple has not requested that you wear any specific attire, then you should dress according to the time of day it is. If the wedding is in the day time (prior to 5pm) then you should wear slacks and a button down or polo. If it's after 5pm that is considered formal...so, that would mean jacket and tie.

CLOTHING--just kidding. You can wear a good suit with a tie, or comfortable slacks and a jacket. Since your lady friend is in the wedding party, she could find out the color of the bridal party. Try not to conflict with their color scheme. Casual grey, brown, or black should be fine.

You should always wear a suit and tie or at least a shirt and tie without the jacket. You can always take off the jacket and tie off when you get there if you are over dressed. Always remember that when you are over dressed other guests look at you and think, "Darn. I knew I should have dressed up more. When you are under dressed other guests look at you and think, "Why didn't that guy dress nicer?" The first one is always better. Good Luck.

nice button up with slacks. No tie unless it's a formal event and others will be dressed that way. You def. do not want to out dress the groom. Stick with something you would wear to church on sunday night.

It would be nice if you wore something as nice as what she has on. So when they take pictures of you two together your outfits will have the same feel. You don't want to be in jeans and a tee shirt and she's in a ballgown.
