I would wear something casual but appropriate. Maybe a nice summer dress with sandals or capris with a nice top. Think family BBQ with extended relatives that you are trying to make a good impression on. I wouldn't do jeans and a t-shirt, as that is too casual.
Good luck and have fun! Remember to wear something cool and comfortable for the outdoor setting!

Something dressy/casual. They will be casual because they are coming from playing golf, but you are meeting them for dinner. So, wear something casual but nicer than what they will be wearing. No denim. Knee shorts or capris are good, just dress it up some. Wear what is comfortable and makes you feel pretty. Good luck and have fun!!

I'd go with a sundress or sheath dress, and sandals. (Heels dig into the lawn). Modest jewelry, nails done, a wide-brimmed (non-fancy) hat and sunglasses. Think of what people wear to the Kentucky Derby. That kind of classiness. That kind of outfit is standard here in California even for casual occasions.

Anything from LL Bean or Land's End. No synthetics -- stick to cotton &/or natural fibers. Khakis pants or walking shorts, a woven belt, collared pullover top, modest sandals & a purse to match (don't forget that pedicure!) No super high heels, bright prints or obnoxious loud colors, modest jewelry, lite makeup. Your goal should casually subtle, yet natural and elegant in your simplicity.

Ask your boyfriend what he is wearing and follow suit. You have as much to be concerned about by being out of sync with him as you have with his boss. If you want to present yourselves as a couple this is the best approach. You might also have your boyfriend get a pulse from his co-workers.

Definitely rule out the short shorts, denim mini skirts, tank top. Capri pants, summer dress that is not see-through and not very slinky.

bbq would imply that its pretty casual. try a nice pair of capris or longer (knee-length) shorts and a tank top that actually cover you completely (no clevage!) and come strappy sandals

wow...i would wear something casual but makes a strong statement. A black dress is to classy how about some black dressy pants with a nice (color) shirt. So it says I no how to relax but i still have to make a good impression

i think a cotton sundress would be good. not too short though. simple shoes.. kitten heals.. or sandles (not flip-flops!!) keep everything simple... not too much make-up... hair simply styled, that way if your BF is in a suite, you will match.. and if he is more casual golf attire, you will match that too.
