Most people who don't like Vista usually don't like the interface. You can keep Vista on the machine and change to the classic interface and it will look more like what you are used to using.

partition your hard drive or get a second one and then insert a windows xp disk choose boot from cd option at prompt (you may need to change the boot sequence in bios) and go through the options if you partition your drive youll get the option to choose which to boot vista or xp at start up or if you install it to another HD then you can just use bios to tell your comp 2 boot from there

format is about the only way i know, wipe your hard drive of everything, then reinstall using the xp disk. you'll have to get some drivers your self. if you havn't got a windows vista disk to format. there is software on the web, then burn it to a cd or floppy and use it to wipe the drive. or take it to a local tech

You will have to start your computer with your windows xp drive in. Then press F8 to start the process. It will guide you from there.

My husband took the pc to the computer shop and have them erase it for us and he installed Windows xp himself.

put in the xp cd and make sure you remove the partitions and recreate them.
