I really think that they are all a waste of money.
Losing weight and keeping healthy is a fairly simple concept. A few minutes on the internet and you'll get a perfect diet plan just for you. The key to losing weight is to have a reduced calorie diet and to pick up on exercise. That's really all.
The plus to going on your own diet is that you'll be eating real food. You really don't know what they put in theirs.
Does anyone remember that Garfield episode where John tries one of those fancy diet he saw on the tv?

I know a lot of people who have had success with Weight Watchers, and once they reach their goal weight they are a lifetime member and continue the program for free. The program teaches you how to eat healthy and encourages exercising. Also, weighing in once a week at your meeting really motivates you.
Jenny Craig ends up costing quite a bit more because you buy their pre-packaged food. It's convenient because all of your meals are planned out for you, but the four women I know who have done Jenny Craig all gained weight back when they stopped the program because they never really learned to plan out their own meals.
I'm not sure about the other two programs.

I agree with the programs that make you buy their food. I've seen the Nutrisystem commercials and the food, even all prettied up for TV, doesn't even look good. For one thing, the bread and pasta looks to be white, not whole grain. That in itself is not a good thing. I've also wondered what happened after the people went off the food. Also, if you have a family as well, you're talking two different grocery bills. Not cool.
From what I've seen of Weight Watchers, it does teach one to eat better and exercise. Yet, as already been said, that can be figured out by using the Internet, to which you obviously have access.
I lost weight and kept it off by changing my eating habits and being more active. (I unintentionally lost five pounds when I cut out me. Another five or so when I cut out dairy and eggs.)
I hope this helps.

My mum and dad do weight watchers and it worked while they did the program, however my personal opinion is that by changing how you eat and reducing the amount that you eat you will feel better and start the process of losing weight the healthy way. Any diet and exercise program will help you, but i would say stay away from programs that encourage you to buy their food and stick strictly to their programs. We're human and we get bored with that easily! I personally lost 50 lbs by changing my eating habits, doing kick boxing and drinking more water. I'm in the process of losing another 20 just by drinking more water and cutting out certain bad foods, IE fast food and junk food, at least only to once a week i am starting to tone my body the way i want. I would also recommend that you consult your doctor and ask his/her opinion on what would be the best method for your situation. Just have faith in yourself and know that it won't be immediate but you CAN DO IT!

I have lost weight in the past with weight watchers. Its nice if you like the freedom of eating everything. I gained the weight back but it took me like 5 years. I am currently on Jenny Craig and so far I love it! The food is great...not like the usual processed frozen foods you get in the market. Plus I am eating 10 times more fruits and vegetables than I ever have in my life! I have lost like 11 pounds so far in 1 month. I strongly recommend jenny craig. The consultations are 1 on 1 and very personal. My consultant is great! I really feel like for the first time I am eating right and excersizing! It has done wonders for my confidence, and I feel so much healthier! Good luck with your weight loss journey...its not easy but there is a lot of support out there to help you!
In response to some of the other comments above...Jenny Craig is not only about eating their food. You eat plently of fruits and vegetables on your own and their food is only for the first half of your weight loss. They eventually show you how to wein yourself off their food and onto your own. All I know is when I was on weight watchers I used to save all my points for desserts and pasta and stuff like that. Even though I was eating less and losing weight I was not eating right! With Jenny they show you portion control and teach you how to volumize your meals with veggies so no matter what you are getting the proper nutrition. With Weight Watchers I was constantly hungry...on Jenny I am NEVER hungry...I eat 6 times a day and I still eat the things I love, like desserts, but in moderation.

I recommend Weight Watchers. The weight watchers program is, I believe, in different class than the other diets you mention . Weight Watchers is often recommended by physicians. There are no gimmicks basically you count calories(aka-points) and you exercise more. I have lost 35 pounds since February and am very happy with the program.

Weight Watchers all the way! For me, it's not a diet. I've been doing it for 7 months and never once felt deprived. I can still have the occasional pizza, cake, donut, ice cream, and it's the real stuff...not the plan's tiny portioned or altered version of the thing. I love it!

I've tried them all.....the food is over priced and tastes lousy, that is why you lose weight, you can't eat it and you 've spent so much to get it, you can't afford to buy anything else to eat.
Let me urge you to go another route.
