Good gosh - the things you miss when you hit the "scrollovers"...
I usually scrollover byderule's answers, but this caught my eye:
"the point is that bottled water is as unsafe as tap water
the PH is changed and your babies could be sterile,a sexual or gay
or worse"

the best water is from mountain springs ,that is carbon filtered only
Agro chemicals and god knows what else is in purified dam, river or lake water
Good water is already more expensive than gasoline .
this is only the beginning .
the world is facing a cronic potable water shortage ,
already in Mexico people are forcred to drink contaminated brown smelly water knowing they will get sick ,because they prefer thgat than dying of thirst now .
India,China,Africa, amongst others are in the same boat
have a nice day

Tap water is safe but taste is a different issue.
Usually a simple activated charcoal filter in your drinking water supply line is more than adequate to resolve taste issues, eliminate the chlorine taste and remove miscellaneous chemicals also.
Plus, they are very inexpensive compared to bottled water.

That's silly. With all the 25 cent/gallon water machines around, it's EASY to get clean water without buying ridiculous little bottles for far more than the cost of gasoline!

Do some research before asking a question like this.
"Daniel Giammar, Ph.D., a faculty member in the Environmental Engineering Science Program at Washington University in St. Louis, says that tap water is just as safe to drink as bottled water. He also says that the pricey bottled water you value so highly might well be nothing more than repackaged tap water.
"I see no health benefit of any kind to bottled water," says Giammar, who is an assistant professor of civil engineering. "The tap water we drink meets very strict standards that are designed to protect our health. These are developed over many years of study and they all include fairly large factors of safety. Any differences between tap and bottled water, in terms of health, are negligible."
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), whose standards today are more stringent than ever before, regulates tap water, also referred to as municipal water. Such standards include minimum allowable levels of pathogens — inorganic and organic compounds that may be harmful to human health."
