I have wondered that too. Maybe he had that much faith in his wife.

At the time JR was to young and I'm sure if he wouldn't of died so suddenly he would of changed it. But JR has some holdings in DEI just not enough to have a say. Now if something happens to Theresa,JR and his sister Kelly get DEI.

somewhat he ought to pass away, DEI is not any the comparable company his father outfitted with Theresa Earnhardt on the helm. Jr is the main accepted driving force in Nascar and the followers choose to verify him run extra effective on a relentless foundation, win races, and win championships and regrettably that in basic terms wont happen with DEI. Theresa seems to be particularly happy with Jr as long as he sells alot of shirts and hats and places funds in her wallet. She does not seem to care too lots with regards to the component of racing that truly concerns and that's to win. Jr ought to somewhat seem someplace else for somebody who will take his occupation to new heights particularly of dropping time at a diminishing racing stable.

Dale should have made his will to cover all four of his children's future, especially since a step parent was involved. It doesn't matter how young the children were when he died. Not many men leave their children out of their wills completely.

First of all, yes Dale Sr. did have a will and his part of the company went solely to Teresa. Second, Teresa and Dale built that company together, it was THEIRS not his. Thirdly, why would you give the company to just Jr. when you have FOUR children you want to provide for. At best you give 1/4 of your interest to your one kid.
Do you people who are Jr. sheep really think he should have got it all and Dale Sr. should have screwed over his other kids? How the hell does that make any sense????

Because he never expected to be involved in a fatal accident at such a young age. His children were young. It didn't make sense to make them a part of DEI at the time. And even if he had updated his will to name his children as part owners, it would likely have been "in trust" for them until a certain age. I certainly can't fault his judgement at the time the will was drawn up.

I would have to think Earnhardt felt that is something he and his wife built together.

Why would he give a multi million dollar company to a 25-26 year old kid? You'd have to be insane to do that! Try and think of this from a business stand point, instead of as a Jr fan.

Because she was his wife so it should go to his spouse. She was the next living descendant.
