i know right? moses is like our buddy.
edit: dear primoa1970, sorry to burst your bubble, but according to you xtians, we, the Jews, are his chosen people. because when god came down and offered the Torah to everyone, the Jews are the only ones who accepted it, [while god had a mountain over their heads].
reedit:: dear alivebecause..., I'm sorry, but in the old testament they do not speak of a holy spirit. that is one of the places you Christians are wrong about alot. you know not much about the Torah, of which your religion branched off of, if more Christians understood the old testament, i bet there would be a lot less Christians.

1. I believe the "holy ghost" you refer to is actually the Spirit of God, referred to many times in the Pentateuch. The word "Trinity" is never mentioned in the New Testament either. It's a word assigned to a concept that people struggle to get their head around, and since the term "Trinity" is man made, it's fodder for pointless devisiveness and arguments over semantics. But even then, the concept of the Trinity didn't come to fruit until Messiah came, years after Moses.
2. When it comes to knowing the nature of God, what do I know that Moses didn't? It's all there in his writings. We just have the benefit of reading his writings through the context of history.

Most theologians would agree that Moses knew, and spoke "face to face" with the preincarnate Jesus ... the second person of the Holy Trinity ... and that Jesus is the member of the Trinity who ALWAYS interacted with man, from creation, on.
There was no need for Moses to know anything else, although he certainly knew that God would one day send a messiah to Israel, because the scriptures that Moses wrote record the fact.
Everything we know about God today is based on what the old testament revealed, what Jesus taught the apostles, and what the Holy Spirit later revealed to them about all of it, in God's own time.
And now, that revelation is truly complete.

Greetings!
The early Church had to attract followers, and found Rites, Ritual, Dogma, and Holidays in various Pagan Religions-including the "Trinity" concept-
So they "borrowed" what they needed.
Jesus spoke to the fact that the Jews were moving toward a Religion of Priests and Dogma, and away from the basic Spirituality-now, many "Christian" groups are doing the same, using the "Trinity" as a Mysterious concept that only the Priests understand, and using a "Direct Line" to God to circumvent standard practice.
So, yes. A "Paternal Hierarchy" still rules, just as in the time of Jesus.

1) I can't answer for Him. All I know is that He spoke to Moses, "I am that I am". That in and of itself caused the face of Moses to shine and his hair to turn white -forever physically changed. It could possibly be that He(GOD) would reveal to us at any given time only that which we (individually and as a whole) are ready and able or capable of understanding and accepting.
2) I don't know more about God than any other person on the face of the earth -living or deceased. What I do know is that I know more about God today than I did yesterday and far more about Him that when I first believed.
Thanks.

1. Moses did speak to the Lord; the Lord Jesus Christ. (Despite an addition to God's word that was added anout 100 years ago).
2. Check the Hebrew; there are about 10 Hebrew terms that get translated into the one English term God; Some of those Hebrew terms are singular, some plural.
Q2. The question does not make logical sense. The 1st grade math teacher one had; (talk to personnally) did they tell you everything?

Trying to view the Eden tale as a one dimensional story (which most do) leads to confusion over it's original meaning. Eve is the most puzzling part of the story. It's possible (according to some biblical scholars) that Eve's identity was different in the original draft of the story. A clue that Eve's identity originally was not as it is given in the story can be found in the name: Hebrew chwwh, being related to Aramaic chwyh and Phoenician chwt "snake". Chawat appears in a Phoenician inscription as one of the names of Elat "Goddess", that is, Asherah. The reason why this is interesting is due to the fact that the goddess Asherah (one of the false deities the Israelites worshipped) is represented by a tree and snakes, and that she is a 'mother' goddess who represents fertility. The Eden narrative could thus be read, at least in part, as an anti-Asherah parody of the Asherah cult, especially by understanding Eve (< Chawat, "Serpent [Lady]" who is identified with Asherah/Elat in Phoenicia) and the Tree of Life as reflexes of Asherah. Thus it has the removal of "Eve"/Asherah from the divine presence, the forbidding of the Tree of Life/Asherah, the dressing up of "Eve"/Asherah with clothes, and the relationship between "Eve"/Asherah and the serpent (Nehushtan). It is not clear how many of these parallels constitute actual links rather than coincidences, but there seems to be some complex relationship between the Asherah traditions and the Eden narrative. In short: The Eden tale is probably not what we think it's about (nor are the details people concentrate on important) and in fact meant for a specific purpose to do with renegade Israelites who continued to worship false gods.

God is one, but He is also three forms-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It can be kind of confusing to those who lack faith, but they are just parts of one God. They all have different parts to play, the Holy Spirit comes into you and guides you when you ask the Son into your life, and the Father is the one who is...well, in charge. It's like you're body, different parts making one whole. He is one, yet He is three.
As for the questions-
1. He didn't! When Moses and the Israelites had their exodus, they were lead by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21). These pillars were God the Holy Spirit. What makes you think he didn't mention the Trilogy to Moses or the Israelites? Just because it is not recorded does not mean they did not know that God had three forms.
2. When, may I ask, have a true Christian said they know more than Moses? Only someone who CLAIMS to know the Lord as their God and Savior, but does not, would say that! No true Christian would claim to know more than a man who met with God more than once. But, just because we have not seen Him face-to-face does not mean He is not with us. For if you have asked Christ into your heart you will be saved and He will live with you, guide you, and help you. We are no less, nor are we more, than Moses or the Israelites in God's eyes.

1. He didn't. He spread the word but then nobody believed him. They asked for a messiah, he was there but then they didn't accept him so basically, they denied him fully
2. what makes you think that ALL christians/catholics know God more? I don't know God as much as Moses or Jesus or any of his followers, however I just do what the chosen people of God did. Be one with my religion and just be good to others...so simple even a baby could do it!
I respect your questions.... :)

Again don't, actually as a Christian i doubt the validity of Jesus or Joshua which is the correct name,(Jesus being Latin for Joshua or yushua), was even the son of God. It's the message not the messenger, be good, peace to all
