Your wife ran off with your mobile and wallet, after she found a somewhat personal and revealing txt from another woman on your mobile, used the credit cards in your wallet to afford herself a good lawyer, obviously took the car to drive to that lawyer, took the ipod to listen to music to calm down but then she couldn't hear the dog barking in front of the car, so she ran over the poor thing. In an attempt to hide the murder she buried the dog in the back yard, all the time forgetting that she was making waffles while browsing through your phone, and while she sped off, leaving the dog buried, to her new lawyer, the thing short-circuited and burnt your house down.
That's why you can't find any of them.
As for what you should do; get a good lawyer yourself.

Obviously the waffle iron made off with the rest of the items. From now on serve French Toast instead of waffles and you will not have that problem again. (Ok, being French, it might still go after the wife).
