I have assurance that is based on the fact that God never lies- and I know that I have eternal security - that when I die, or Jesus returns, I will be in heaven- I will be accountable for what I did in His Name while on the earth, but I will escape the second death that means- I will not be eternally separated from the Lord.
If you do not have that assurance, I assume you don't since you asked this question- What assurance do you have that there won't be a judgment? Even though I believe there will be, how could you live your life, wondering? If I am wrong, then nothing will happen- if you are wrong- you know the answer to that one- don't you?

We judge ourselves every day, man! That very fact suggests that it all leads to something, doesn't it?
Yes it is so very easy to say "well the Bible is our assurance" but that is such as pathetic response. Nobody wants to hear from the Bible automatons, here. Good grief.
Why do men insist on living in this fallen sphere? Because they judge themselves and insist that life is worth living, is worth increasing. This is the drive of the spirit of man which God has given us. Now if you have a hard time believing that fact, then your questions should reflect that. As it is, your question reflects that you have accepted the belief that there is a God, and we are subject to laws, which laws you are asking if we will be accountable to them at some defined "judgment" point in the future.
But, a lot of our judgments come throughout every day that we are living, independent of God himself. The simple fact that we are able to chose things for ourselves attests to the fact that will are indeed accountable for those actions. We are not acting on instincts of survival alone. There are many choices placed before us that have to do with our desires, and we are accountable to the agency that accompanies them.
Indeed, the only thing that "God" will have to do during the "judgement day" is appropriate for us that degree of glory in which we have proven to ourselves that we want to live, from the choices we have made in our mortality. I'm suggesting, for the greater part, that the judgment we are given will have come from nobody but ourselves, which is the judgment we have lived with our entire lives in mortality.

The assurance written in the Word of God. The assurance written in the Bible, the inspired Word of God. It tells about the judgement in Revelation 20 for instance, and what will happen...I can't wait, I know where I'm going and what side I'm on! I may not get a crown, but I know God will call me His good and faithful servant!

LOL, You're late, Gilbert. Shall I answer you with a bible quote, since you like that sort of thing? O.K. here goes.....
"It is appointed for man , once to die and after that the judgement" (somewhere in the bible) But, of course for we atheists, that's hardly any assurance. If by some bizarre twist of reality there actually is a judgement by the biblical "god", he will be judged as well, by every person who shares my point of view. Then, we shall party in hell together, after we take over. LOL

According to Hebrew 9: 27: it is appointed to all men to die after this the judgment. So it is written in the scripture, u can see in the world of today, how judges in the court used to judge people according to their deeds, let alone of God that will judge the whole world. Also in the book of numbers, God set up judges in Isreal to judge the isrealites.

The Bible says so. I would ask what assurance is there that there won't be a judgment.
