It's called "argument from outrage" - Richard Dawkins is a pro at it.
They are afraid of the Truth because it means submitting their will to God and not being able to do what ever they want.
Any so-called intellectual, philosophical argument can be easily refuted by one of the many brilliant Christian aplologists - William Lane Craig, Ravi Zacharius, J.P. Holding, Glenn Miller, J.P. Moreland.

Everyone has a right to express their opinion.
But I hear equally ridiculous comments being made about other religions and other peoples opinions by Chrisitians.
And some of the comments I have heard being made about Christians seem to be more correct a lot of the time than ridiculous.
But I do think that all religions need to be tolerant of each other. And believers and non-believers also should exercise tolerance.

Why are there so many out to lunch, ridiculous comments being made against Islam?
Same reasons, different religion.
Ignorance and blind hatred are the top 2 reasons I can think of.

As Beautiful as Christ is. Christianity is to some people what worshipping money is to you.

Most claims against Christianity and any other religion are easily verifiable. Truth isn't ridiculous.
