I am getting married in two weeks, and the more I look at my dress and try it on, the least I like it. There's nothing I can do at this point, but maybe some opinions might help me. Thanks!http://www.houseofbrides.com/product.php?productid=13997&cat=666&page=3

The top is a lot of beading that seems to overpower the rest of the dress. The way the straps lay (even after alterations) gives it a loose fit and I'm not extremely curvy. I have a small frame so the dress seems to just be hanging on me. Except the waist is really tight. I know this is the style of the dress, but I don't know if it's for me. I bought originally because I liked it of course. But now I think I would like it on someone else better.

I think it's lovely. You're probably just getting nerves. And do you really want to go through a new dress hunt now? Try having a seamstress look at the top & perhaps try different bras to see if that makes a difference with how it fits. I'm sure it will be fine & you will be beautiful!

I think it is a pretty dress... Just a suggestion, if you think the dress looks like it is hanging on you since u have a small frame, maybe you could ask a seamstress to alter the top a bit. Make the straps larger and bring them around your neck into a halter style. this would make you look more curvey and probably solve the problem of it looking like it's hanging on u. or if you dont want larger straps see if they can take in the sides so it fits tighter on top and get a good push up strapless bra with a little padding to give the same effect. Last resort, if you have time and $$, sell it online and buy a new one. Just some suggestions, hope everything works out!

I think the dress is beautiful. Is it possible this is nerves manifesting themselves? When I got married about 3 months before the wedding I also started to have serious doubts about my dress even though when I tried it on I cried and told my mom "This is it!" I even went so far as to go to other bridal shops and try on other dresses! But in the end, what I was really going through was stress over the big day. Not about my husband or if I was doing the right thing, mind you. Just overall stress. Would everything get done in time? (We did a lot of things ourselves) Would it rain? Would we have to move the ceremony indoors? Would everyone like the food? Does my future mother in law really like me? Couple that with my fiance being three hours away and would continue to be for the first year of our marriage and I was feeling stress overload! Because these were not all things I could control, I started to obsess over the thing I could control and that no one else had ANY say over: my dress.
Is it possible this is what you are experiencing? Not actually disliking your dress.

Go to David's Bridal. See if you can find something you like better. You can buy a dress off the rack there. Most dresses are inexpensive - especially off the rack. You may need to have it cleaned but it should be OK. Also ask if the alterations can be done in time. With the dress you already have you can put it up for sale on e-bay and try to get some of the money back.

You could add a jacket or shawl to cover the straps. For the beading, go to a seamstress and see if any can be removed without ruining the dress. The dress is very pretty even with the beading and jacket would help cover some of that up also.

Well, in the picture it looks like the same thing is going on with the model who's wearing it. It looks tight on her waist but loose around her chest/straps. But the dress still looks phenomenal on her!
I understand how you must be feeling. When I got my dress back & saw it on I did NOT like what I saw. I have a very small frame as well and everyone kept saying "it's too much dress for you" However, after thinking about it for a while and remembering WHY I bought that dress and how much I loved it when I bought it, my attitude toward it completely changed. I am now back in love with my dress. Maybe you could fall in love all over again with yours too. Focus on the positives! I bet it doesn't look as bad as you think, the Bride is always more critical... especially when we expect our dresses to look PERFECT on us!! It is OUR DAY!!! :)

cut the straps, fold the top of the dress under a little bit and have it resewn. Make it strapless. hurry hurry hurry!!! You going to like the a lot more then if you were to put a shawl on or just throw something over it. AND it'll make that dress look a lot better. Next time you get married make sure you like the dress before you buy it. LOL juuuuuuuuust kidding.

I think it looks beautiful! It looks like it would be flattering on anyone's profile.. What part of it particularly bugs you though? Well being that the beading is all at the top, that is actually perfect if you are not very "curvacious" it draws attention to that area. You can always have the top taken in more to, plus if you wear undergarments underneath, it will definitely fill the dress out more and you won't feel like you are swimming in it.

For your last fitting, make sure it fits well on you Make sure the spaghetti straps are taut and not loose. I think it is a lovely gown. I cannot see the beading on it but this gown is really nice. You have last minute butterflies and nerves, so be assured that you will look lovely and just like a princess. When you have your headpiece and veil on, it will all come together. Calm down and be happy on your wedding day.

Honey, it's gorgeous! The detailing (the ruffle) down the front will really accent the train.
Could it be that it isn't the dress that concerns you? Could it be that you have a really bad case of "cold feet?" You must have thought that the dress had some good qualities, or you wouldn't have chosen it in the first place.
SO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>try to figure out what is eating at you.
Good luck!
