Blind people can and do drive. There are certified programs that allow the blind to take the controls of a motor vehicle and have some 'fun' with the experience. HOWEVER They may not 'take it to the streets'. This program is run entirely on private property. The late, great Ray Charles did a Chrysler commercial years ago, but he was driving out in the middle of the desert.

The keypad is the same one used on a machine that may be in a mall, in a bank branch, or in a building lobby, all places blind people can access. Besides, you as a driver could have a blind passenger in the back seat who needs to use the machine.

No, it's not even legal for someone who is "legally blind" (which is not totally blind) to drive. But, the bank puts Braille there for the convenience of those who might be driven to the bank by someone else, e.g. a taxi or friend or perhaps blind individuals who might use the drive through as pedestrians.

They simply use the same basic machines that they use in their walk up stations which must be tooled for the blind..
I also once drove behind a truck with a sign saying a blind man was driving the truck—when I got along side I saw that it was a truck for a venetian blind company..

Some blind people use the afterhours ATM... I would go late and pull up the passenger window to the ATM... My passenger being blind could do his personal banking w/o me having any of his information... It was helpful not having to wait for banking hours..... It worked for us...

That is hillarious! Blind people can't drive. Who in their right mind would put braille where you have to drive?
