Ugh, I'm sorry but I would never put him in an ivory shirt. My gown was ivory and champagne and I heard the same thing, "white shirt will make the ivory dress look dirty". Not true...the ivory SHIRT looks dirty no matter what dress you're wearing. My husband wore a black tux, white shirt with a champagne neck tie and vest and it looked gorgeous. You cannot tell the difference in pictures, believe me. When he first tried on the ivory shirt, it looked like it had been peed on and had that really dingy tint to it. Do what you like but I'm telling you to ease your mind that it does not show up in pictures that way. Give me a thumbs down if you'd like...just giving my opinion based on experience!

RE:
If I have a champagne color wedding dress...does anyone have pictures of what the groom should wear?
I would think white would clash with my dress. I need photos so I can get a visual.

I'm not a fan of pale tuxes, not even on hunky fashion models. It looks like a costume suggesting he's about to break into a dance routine, joined by five other men in pale tuxes, one of whom will toss a cane and hat in the groom's direction.
If his vest, cummerbund, tie, etc. coordinate with your champagne dress, he'll look fine in a dark suit or tux, and less prone to dance, too. He can wear a white shirt if the shade of champagne isn't so pale it's a near-match to the white.
Or you could go with a champagne tail coat, and a hat and cane of your own, with dancer's trunks and high heels, for a bridal tap routine they'll be talking about for years to come. (Just kidding. The champagne dress is an excellent choice, IMO.)

I don't care for men in white/ivory suits. I would get a black tuxedo and have him wear a vest with either a tie or bow tie ivory or champagne. Then have the rest of the groomsmen wear a similar vest/tie combo in a color that compliments the bridesmaids.
* The groom can wear a white shirt if he wants because the vest and the tie match your dress. They do have ivory shirts though. At david's bridal and at the mens wearhouse you can create tuxedos online to see how they will look.

I wore an ivory colored dress with champagne detailing all over it. My groom wore a black pin stripe tux with champagne colored vest and tie. It looks great together! I'm sorry but I don't post personal pictures online.

He needs to wear Ivory. I just went with my sister-in-law to be to buy her wedding dress and hers is also champagne and next to an ivory tux it was beautiful. Sorry, I don't have a photo, tho.

The only color he shouldn't wear is white because in the wedding pictures, your dress would look dirty in comparison to his bright white shirt.

go to http://www.davidsbridal.com you can put together a wedding party to see how it would look together. They have tanish color tuxes, and ivory tuxes. We went with an Ivory tux with my ivory dress and it matched absolutely perfect. The pictures were fabulous.
