Before running for office, and after a failed coup, Hitler wrote "Mein Kampf" wherein he spelled out every policy he was subsequently to enact when he became chancellor.

No one in Germany can say they didn't know what he was, except through deliberate ignorance.

95% of Germany's population was christian.

A sizable chunk of the remaining population was Jewish.

According to today's interpetations of the bible, there is no basis for any christian to support Hitler's policies. Indeed, there are compelling arguments for opposing him.

Yet christians not only elected him, but supported him through all that he did till the very end.

Most were either Nazis or Nazi collaborators.

If so many christians could ignore scripture to support the likes of Hitler, why should we believe it cannot happen again?

Why should we believe the devotion of christians to christianity is any better today than the devotion of those christians who served Hitler?

Hitler was a Christian, responding to the anti-semitism of Europe that Christendom had instilled over the centuries.
A shameful blot on all Europe.

Listen to what your preacher says at Easter time. Does he condemn the Jews? Does he say that the Jews killed Jesus? Does he talk about "legalism" in contrast to "having a relationship with Christ" (whatever that means)? Does he blame the Jews themselves for having so much trouble over the centuries, because they did not accept Jesus as their Messiah?

Listen to your preacher and his attitudes.

And weep!

Oreo,
It is a shame that you evidentally can NOT READ. The History shows that most of what you have said is FALSE. MUCH of the population was Jewish. and a good portion were Catholic. When you say Christian, be "specific". They were "Catholic". The writings of that Lunatic were never seen by most of the population because his writings were never published to the masses that you speak of. He spoke wherever there were people and said exactly what the group that he spoke with wanted to hear. There was no media as we have it. There was no way to check him out because their government was very localized at the time. Those who served Hitler were either obedient or very DEAD. They were NOT Christians they were warriors who were never allowed to make decisions. You are very bitter. I am sorry for your ignorance but it is just that. Have a nice weekend and a wonderful LORD'S DAY. Thank GOD that you have a grandson and that you are allowed in this great country to lie to him as you do.
Thanks,
Eds (Christian)

Once again,

It was NOT a religious war, it was not Christian teachings, even warped Christian teachings that caused the war. It was anger at the Jews for being the owners of property and business and Hitler and the Nazi's blaming the Jewish people for all of their problems.

The average person in Germany that you claim were all Nazi collaborators or supporters had no idea that he was killing 6 Million Jews, most went to war because they were misled. even at that many still did not support Hitler.

I think you need to do some more in depth study of European history.

Peace be with you.

A Christian is somebody who follows the coaching of Christ. that's some thing Hitler did not do. in actuality, most of the flaws Hitler promoted have been at as quickly as antagonistic to the flaws Jesus taught. i don't understand if he called himself a Christian, or if he even theory he became a Christian, yet once you examine the flaws he did it may well be clean - he became not a Christian. purely through fact you call somebody some thing, that doesn't make it so.

Let me point out that is was a few armies that had a lot of christians that knocked him from power. That it was mainly "christian" countries that fought him.

While we're on the subject, Hitler had documented Islamic ties as well. Sounds like Hitler was a little messed up.

It is abundantly evident that your definition of a Christian does not conform to the Bible's definition of a Christian. Many true Christians lost their lives by actively opposing Hitler. Perhaps you have never heard of names like Dietrich Bonhoeffer or Corrie ten Boom.
In case you hadn't noticed, throughout history the false professing Christians have always been the biggest persecutors of those who actually attempt to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

First off, you are completely inaccurate in saying that Hitler systematically laid out his plans in Mein Kampf. He didn't. He beat a rhetorical drum, rambled, didn't through out a lot of facts, talked about how great it was to be National Socialist and through (in a completely unorganized manner) some of his belifs and possible planes in it.

So, from that vantage point, your question is a waste of time, because he was not showing integrity in that book.

Yes many Christians did follow Hitler. Hitler was good for Germany in the beginning. He gave the Germans a sense of self worth after the Treaty of Versaillles blamed all of World War I on the Germans. Hitler united Germany and built up the infrastructure with roads and technology. He put Germany back on track in the local and international community.
To say that all Germans read Mein Kampf or to say that 95% knew of his policies is an historical error inspite of what the politically correct social engineers of the 21st century say.
Hitler also established a state church and fought against the Roman Catholic and Lutheran Churches, among others. He established the Reich Church with his racist theories. The Reich Church was to replace traditional Christianity with Nordic and Arian theology and mythology.
But to blame all German Christians is also an error. They were a desperate people grasping at straws after being placed lower than dogs on the world stage.
Each German Nazi will have to answer for himself or herself. But propaganda is very strong and when you limit the power of the Christian Church to do her mission, like Hitler did, people are led astray.
Those that spoke up against the Hitler's horror, like the Catholic Bishops of Munich and Berlin were beaten, ostrasized, or thrown in concentration camps, i.e.- Father Maximallin Kolbe, etc. When the government goes ape and starts killing its own people, most people tend to be quiet out of fear.
The greatest Christian leader of the War, Pope Pius XII, did speak up against Hitler in his Christmas Addresses and his predecessor Pope Pius Xl issed an encyclical called, "Mit Brenender Sorge" only to see it totally violated and the Catholic Church outright persecuted behind the Nazi veil.
Many people make the mistake of judging people of the past by things they think those people of the past should have known. The propaganda machine, for instance, told the average German that Jews and discontents were being placed in the East on farms. Pictures were shown in the movie theaters of a paradise life style these people were supposedly going to. But fear, breach of treaties, propaganda and intimidation, are strong factors to consider. Those that did speak up, and there were many, were destroyed.
Pope Pius XII is often criticized for not doing enough. But he did everything he could. He knew that Hitler was killing Catholics and others and everytime he spoke up, the killing got worse. There were just as many Christians killed in those concentration camps as there were Jews. But today, with the focus on Jews, we don't really hear much about that.
Welcome to Martyology.

I am sorry to inform you but, there is proof that Hilter is in Hell. Why would any one want to support a leader that lead nothing but hate? I would never serve Hitler! He did not know what love was. He promoted hatred and he lied...

According the forensic evidence, "Anneliese starved to death". Specialists claimed that if the accused would have begun with forced feeding one week before her death, Anneliese's life would have been saved. One sister told the court that Anneliese did not want to go to a mental home where she would be sedated and forced to eat. The exorcists tried to prove the presence of the demons, playing taped recordings of strange dialogues like that of two demons arguing about which one of them would have to leave Anneliese's body first. One of the demons called himself Hitler, and spoke with a Frankish accent (Hitler was born in Austria). Not one of those present during the exorcism ever had a doubt about the authenticity of the presence of these demons.

Hilter also supported abortion. He said it would be easier to abort all the babies, especially the non German babies because he didn't think that people should have babies unless they were German ones. He promoted death, killing, hate. He promoted the devil's will to destroy humans and their lives. Why in the world would I stick up for a man like this? And want him to be my leader? I don't need a leader to lead me to hate people. My purpose in my life is to live and learn about God and teach my own children to love and make a wonderful difference in their lifetime!!!!!

That's great, but there is a difference in claiming you are a Christian and actually being a Christian. Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and the countries/areas they had control over were mostly atheists. Try looking up how many people died during their control.
