Maybe he doesn't want to stop smoking. My boyfriend is always trying to get me to quit and sometimes i say I'm trying to shut him up but really i just want to be left alone about it.

If he really wants to stop smoking, check with the hospitals, clinics, and medical centers in your area and find out if any of them offer hypnosis to help quit smoking. Yeah, I know; it sounds crazy, but I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. A co-worker of mine tried it and after ONE TREATMENT he got rid of his cigarettes and hasn't had one in over three years. The good news is most health care plans will cover some or all of the cost for the hypnosis sessions. WARNING: The only way your fiance will be able to quit smoking is if he really wants to. If he doesn't, no type of treatment will work.

Why do you have to make him quit? why are we so focused on changing people and their habits once they´re in our lives? Im sure when you met him he was a smoker, if that offended you so much, then you shouldn´t have gotten involved with him in the first place. If and when he wants to quit he´ll do it, you can´t MAKE people do things just because YOU feel it´s what you want. Cut the guy some slack.

He's got to be ready to quit. Don't let him smoke in the house if it bothers you.

The only thing you can do: give him support. Avoid coffee and heavy spiced food. Give him a lot of water to drink.
It´s hard to do it, and it depends on him, mainly.
Good luck.
