Ask your doctor if you can take a steroid. It'll reduce the swelling.

It is normal to have swelling for up to a week. Have you taken and Motrin or Advil? this will normally help with the swelling. I think the ice stage is over. It is only recommended for about 48 hours after you have them pulled. Just make sure you are taking your antibiotics and that you are not drinking thru straws, that can help prevent the healing process. It prevents the pockets from closing right. As for your boyfriend he will understand.

It may take several days until the swelling is gone. There is nothing you really do except keep ice on it off and on. Everything takes time to heal and everyone heals differently. As far as the bf, well so what if you look like a hamster. He may have had his wisdom teeth out before and knows what it is like. If not he needs to see what to look forward to someday himself! If he really cares for you he will give you lots of extra tender loving care!

Perfectly normal. I would try cutting back on the ice for a while. Move your jaw around as much as is comfortable to get the blood flowing. This should help some - but there is no way it will be gone by this afternoon. Your BF will understand if he cares about you.

Try sucking on ice cubes. Still, I'm afraid the swelling isn't going to be completely down for several days.

Lots of ice. If you can swallow some advil that will reduce swelling and help with any pain too. If that doesn't work, only time will help. Sorry, I wish I could be of more help.

Ask your doctor if you can take an anti-inflammatory med, like aspirin. That can help with the swelling. Ice compresses on the outter cheek may help as well.
