1.) I don't do this, so I'm not trying to defend it in the next points,
2.) Just because they say it doesn't mean they won't discuss it, and there are certainly more people who have decided the truth in their minds without saying "nuff said,"
3.) What is arrogance? Are we not all arrogant if we think we have the "one true way" or "one true understanding?" It is only those of us who embrace other paths who abandon arrogance. Apart from that, arrogance is a word with little accusatory weight, since most of us have it.

Sorry to be the one to tell you, but whomever you are talking to that says nuff said....the are as arrogant as can be. Saying that makes a person seem like that they don't care about what anyone else has to say.

The only time I've used 'nuff said it was in rebuttal to a particularly ignorant and poorly written point in a "question" (in quotes because there wasn't a question in there anywhere). End of story though, yeah, closeminded from either side.

I rant every now and then, but I would never say that because I really never stop talking.
But yes, it is pretty arrogant, because they are closing down their argument from other people's opinions and ideas. If that's the case, why even post it?

i haven't heard a Christian end a rant with the word "this is that straightforward," yet any Christian who could do it is conceited and is being disrespectful to the guy they're "conversing" to. i'm a Christian, and not merely do I refuse to rant, I refuse to call for that human beings see the international a similar way I do. this is conceited for anybody, a Christian coated, to have faith that they have a cope with on doctrine, faith, foreign places coverage, or maybe dishwashing for that matter. i attempt to maintain a cope with on my own existence and my own affairs, which makes me way too busy to stick my nostril into the affairs of others. this is that straightforward. :)

I don't think it's really all that arrogant, rather it's that they're out of things to say, and feel that they've said their piece. It's probably not meant to be taken personally. There are bigger problems in the world to worry about.

Acts 16:16-18
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
the same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.
And this did she many days, But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of Her. And he came out the same hour."
By your name "soothsayer" you are demon possessed. If you are playing games you are inviting demon possession. If you need deliverance contact a deliverance ministry. Evil spirits are not anything to be playing with or contacting.

What does this have to do with religion exactly?

I agree with you. It irks me to no end when they do that. The "only truth" bothers me to death too. It's just close minded. If someone said that to them they would have a hissy fit and they usually do have a hissy fit.
