Relax. You did not feel the x-ray waves passing through you. That was just a random sensation, what we used to call a 'body rush'.
Not to worry, medical x-rays are so weak that it would take thousands of them in a very short period of time to give you cancer.

X-rays are a form of energy or radiation. X-rays exist in nature, emanating from outer space, rocks and even the soil. You cannot see or feel x-rays. Because they're of higher energy than visible light, x-rays can penetrate objects, including your body.
you were probably just scared and anxious, you mind can play tricks on you. i have had numerous x-rays and intensive radiation treatments and i could not feel them..after, i felt the results of the radiation but never the x-rays.

You probably only felt if because you knew it was coming and imagined the feeling yourself due to nervousness or fear. The mind has great powers over you, and can make you think anything (like how little kids think there is a monster in their closer or underneath their bed, but there isn't, or at least most of time there isn't). If you're really worried, your doctor is the best person to ask! Hope your test results come out well.

No more so than anyone else who has an xray. Sounds like you had an interesting experience. I can see where you would be worried but maybe you should convert those feelings to curiosity and instead of asking about cancer you should ask if anyone else has experienced the same?

You should be more worried about all the radiation just outside our planet's atmosphere. Such a thin, eroding, dying layer of gas protecting us from billions and billions and billions of times stronger, deadlier radiation that would boil the very molecules out of your cells in a heartbeat if you were exposed to it.
So for a single chest x-ray, you have nothing to worry about. :)

particular. you would be able to request a pat down. those backscatter machines are a source of radiation. they are in elementary terms put in at some dozen airports now. The plan is to have them put in in any respect airports. The TSA goons do not wade by using those issues. all of them bypass 'em.

It was either psychological, or you felt the movement of the "bucky" - this is where the film is placed inside of the unit that you were standing next to, which vibrates when the exposure is taken.
