I have to work and I live in gaithersburg,md and I'm not happy where my son is going now..there is no life in the classes and the teacher don't even greet the kids in the morning the kids spend most of the day inside playing with legos when I'm paying 240.00$ a week and if you want them to go to the pool for a hour its 100$ more. they go outside for a half a hour everyday and thats it most of the day they play to them selfs .and I need a camp so I can work..would u take your kid out if he was not having fun..do you know whereI can find a better camp??.this is my kid and I'm feeling like a bad mom it's summer he should be having so much fun.it's from 8am-6pm and he's always mad and he has started wetting on his self at school and never has done this ever at preschool or home..

I placed a link for child care services in your town using yahoo local. There has to be more then one option. The YMCA is a good idea if you have one nearby. Hopefully once of these places can help or can let you know. You could also contact your Job and Family Services as they may have a listing of available summer camps. I hope you find something better! You are not a bad mom. Just keep looking!!

Sounds like you need to find another camp.
Do you have a YMCA in your area? They probably have camps.
Talk to some other moms and see what else is available. Check in the Penny-saver or newspaper - sometimes places advertise camps in there too.

this is a hard situation. keep him going there until you can find something better. you obviously need the childcare so don't burn bridges, but start looking for something more personal. even try a stay at home mom who might take him in with her kids. as a sahm, i would love for my kids to have a playmate during the summer. it seems everyone is so busy with camp and vacation, they never see friends anymore

I think maybe you need to find an alternative like a grandma type sitter for him one that can take him places that he would really enjoy like the parks with playgrounds where he can meet other kids and maybe the library where he can read in the peace and quiet and she would not charge you 340.00 a week for it . you just have to investigate and do background checks and make sure she has cpr training . good luck .

Check your local newspaper for camps in your area.
Also try www.kidscamps.com and www.mysummercamps.com
Maybe you could look for a babysitter instead. You're son would get one on one attention and it would cost you less. Local churches are usually good places to find babysitters.
