Since you are both working and still can't pay your basic bills you might need to sell something or put the gas bill on a credit card.

Hi. If you call the gas company they should be able to give you the numbers for Salvation Army and Family Independent Agency to get assistance. However, that does take some time because there is quite a bit of paperwork involved.

You may want to borrow the money from a family member or friend to get your services turned on asap.

Last suggestion, if you have any credit cards the gas company does accept those. I hope this helps a little.

Good Luck to ya.

Dial 211 (like 911) on a phone in your area. It is not up and going yet in all areas, but if you have the service, it is a social service help referral line that can direct you to agencies in your area who can help with this problem. If you do not have 211 in your area, call your local United Way and ask if they have an information and referral department.
