free internet sites can help you learn
watch DVDs in your native language, subtitled in English (or the other way around)
buy a set where you learn on the computer or with CD's
watch some English or American TV

If you live near a college, they often have "conversation tables" where people get together and engage in conversation in a language they are trying to learn. That might be an option.
Other than that, watch TV, movies, talk to people online or try to find a tutor.

Watch TV commercials in English and read the back of cereal boxes, and snack foods. Bet you can't read just one.

watch movies, cartoons, tv shows in english and you will pick up words so fast without even knowing it. Thats what i do with japanese, and it has done wonders for me ^^
