Your preaching of ignorance, then what would you say to Christianity? I have read the Qur'ān, and if your in a Islamic country, where woman do not have a voice, then you should be right by reading and adhering to the Qur'ān. After all, it is described by Muslims to be the book of divine guidance and direction for mankind.

If this is true, and you are a believer in the Qur'ān? Why are you asking this question? According to the Islamic Muslim beliefs, you, a female should not be allowed to ask or question this opinion.

You, the female would definitely not be able to tell someone to fight ignorance. You, (female) should take what I (Male) have to tell you as the truth and final word.

According to the Qur'ān, the Christian texts were authentic divine revelations given to prophets. So, that would make the Qur'ān a summary of the Christian Bible.

Christians believe that the historical biblical archaeological record refutes the assertion that Qur'ān followers believe the Bible texts are corrupted with modern revelations. Add the Arabic linguistic translation into American format, and you have one of the largest abomination of literature transcription in any religious document known to date.

Well, according to Islamic teaching, the koran (quran, q'oran, k'oran, funny how many spelling of it there are), it is only holy in its original language, so no, I only have an English version.
Having read enough to see that is contradicts the Bible, itself, and teaches some rather vile things (as opposed to the Bible which record, but does not teach vile things, of course, that is MY opinion and will not be shared by everyone)
to know that it is not true, and therfor not from God.
I do not think that I would have to finish reading it, other than for a better ability to debate the falseness of it, to be more convinced.
2+2 does not equal five, I do not need to read a book telling me why it does not, at least after I have grasped the truth of the matter.

I would never read or believe anything in the Quran because my religion is 600 years older than yours and we were warned that others would come professing to be the true religion, and that outwardly they would seem like sheep but inside they are ravening wolves. Not keeping it much of a secret, are they? St. John tells us that he has revealed the last of all we need to know about God in his book, The Revelation. (or The Apocalypse, depending on the translation). I see all I need to know about Islam on the news every day.

I have one, but I've not read all of it. I do read it when a question comes up and I wish to understand better.
Then again, I also have books of the Christian mythology, and the Tao De Ching and many other faiths.

I'm Pagan myself, and think that all of our myths point in some way toward the truth, and to completely dismiss any of them is wrong.

Before anyone gets po'd about the word "myth", look it up in the dictionary. It does not imply that something is false.

Islam means submission, correct? Why would anyone believe and submit to a religion of hate created by a mad desert nomad who named himself a prophet and created "laws" that allowed women to be treated as property? I bet if I read every page of that book I could prove on every page that it is a religion of hate.

Honestly, have you read Mein Kamp or the Communist Manefesto? How about the KKK manuals? No, and neither have I. I have the intelligence to reject them based on their results. I will reject the Quaran on the same grounds.

I read things like this:

[2:126] "As for him who disbelieveth, I shall leave him in contentment for a while, then I shall compel him to the doom of Fire"

[4:56] Lo! Those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment.

8:14 That (is the award), so taste it, and (know) that for disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.

10:4 ...as for those who disbelieve, theirs will be a boiling drink and painful doom because they disbelieved.

17:10 And that those who believe not in the Hereafter, for them We have prepared a painful doom.

18:29 Say: (It is) the truth from the Lord of you (all). Then whosoever will, let him believe, and whosoever will, let him disbelieve. Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers Fire. Its tent encloseth them. If they ask for showers, they will be showered with water like to molten lead which burneth the faces. Calamitous the drink and ill the resting-place!

22:19 These twain (the believers and the disbelievers) are two opponents who contend concerning their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads, Disbelievers will wear garments of fire, boiling fluid will be poured on their heads, their bellies and skin will be melted, they will be tormented with iron hooks, and when they try to escape they will be driven back with the taunt: Taste the doom of burning.
22:20 Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted;
22:21 And for them are hooked rods of iron.
22:22 Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning.

... and I'm not inclined to continue to read a book that contains such unpleasantness. I don't watch what used to be called 'video nasties' either, for the same kind of reason.
