Continental does use 757s on routes from Newark to some of it's destinations in Europe, as well as from Houston to Central and South America. I flew them on Stansted-Newark and Dublin-Newark on 757s. Those planes did not have seatback TVs in economy; there were small flat-screens that dropped down from the overhead bins. The headsets were free. Typical programming--1-2 movies, some short features and a sitcom. Cabin service was o.k. I wouldn't want to be on a plane this size for a flight longer than about 7 hours. Bring some books, magazines, or laptop computer to pass the time. More seating info here: http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Continental_Airlines/information.php

Coach is still limited to the fold-down movie screens in the ceiling on the 757s. However, in BusinessFirst class each passenger gets a fold-out movie screen - it's a touch-screen that allows you to select from a large number of movies, music, and television programs. You can start, stop, pause, rewind, and fast-forward whenever you want because all the programming is stored on a hard drive in the aircraft belly. This is much better than the old system where each channel had a Hi-8 movie tape that had to be manually started by the flight crew, especially when the tapes started to wear out.

Hi

Most airline's 757-200 fleet is quite old now. Whether of not they have seat-back screens usually depends on the route they are operating on. For short haul then it's quite unlikely.

I'm not sure Continental use 757's for long haul any more as they replaced many of those routes with 777s instead.

Hope this helps!

It relies upon on the airline and the class of provider. i think of in coach it is a shared television and in 1st classification that it can be a private one for worldwide continental flights on a 757-2 hundred
