I cannot see you, touch you, or smell you, but I see the work you do and see your words being sent to me on this page. Though there might not be anyone on the other side typing and this is all one big figment of my imagination, I still have faith that there is. Isn't it the same with God. We don't see Him, touch Him, or smell Him. But we see what He has done, and we have His word. All we have to do is believe that He is there.

You know ... I read your question and thought to myself that it should rather be an answer than a question. From the outset I am not particularly religious and do not get involved in these discussions but yours caught my eye. Clearly you have put some thought into this and i think that it is a perfect way of understanding what religion or rather a belief in a higher entity is all about. If I remember correctly in the Christian bible it says that you have to accept God as a child would i.e. unconditionally. In my humble opinion, irrespective of religious persuasion you have done what it takes to encapsulate " belief ". Simply brilliant. Thanks for That.

All this argument has succeeded at doing was further prove your inadequacy at logic and reasoning. You assume because we are here now, typing you answers in real time that we could possibly not exist, yet, believe in someone that has NEVER written a letter, but was written about by 5th, 6th and who knows how many handed accounts after the supposed words of God were declared. So he must exist and we must not. Even though the entire Old Testament, the basis for the Christian God is plagiarized and adapted from the Enu Elish. This is the Story of the Bablyonians, for more proof, see "The Tower of Babel".

That's actually a pretty good comparison.
There's so much proof in this world that God exists, yet people won't believe unless they see him with their own two eyes.

You can't the only thing you can be sure of is that you think therefore you are. However that said I believe you are possibly a figment of my imagination - so therefore the only absolute in this world is the 'I think therefore I am'

well, if thats the simplest imagination you can do to build relation with God. fine. coz sometimes to have the fact that GOD exist is beyond the ability of our brain. you just have to have a faith. it will take you somewhre along this journey. it wil give you a grip. good luck.

Have you seen humans typing on the Internet before?
Is it all consistent with known information?
Is there any reason to doubt it?
You "could" be wrong, but it is probably the best information you have to go from.

What a ridiculous question for one of my imaginary fantasies to ask me.
I refute it thus (kicking computer).
