Sorry, no. Microsoft likes their money and doesn't offer their operating systems free in any way.


You CAN download a FREE operating system like Ubuntu though:

It's basically like Windows with only a few changes to get used to and a ton of free software (a free office that lets you save and open word documents, excel spreadsheets , and powerpoint presentations) right out the box. It includes image editing software, media players, games, browsers, mail client... and if you need something that's not included, you can most likely download it for FREE because that's what Linux and open software is about, free for everyone. Plus it's virus free (safer than a macOS even) and quite safe.

If you're unsure about it, you can even download the OS from their site, burn it on a CD, and run it straight from the CD without needing to install anything just so you can test things out.

I recommend you give it a try if you need an operating system soon. Best of luck!
