Excuse me????
Everything in Scripture is factual......it is 100% accurate and God-breathed whether you believe that or not.
Where did you come up with that?
The truth is still the truth regardless of what you or anyone else says

Personally, I also think that many of the stories in the Bible are not entirely true. On the other hand, I don't think they were created to be factual on actual occurences. I choose to interpret the Bible as a way of explaining certain ideas. Our species had to have come from somewhere, so Adam & Eve took the role of mother and father to our species. If you think about it, the Bible was written during a time when people, in mass population, were not as educated as people today. The religious leaders of that time needed a way to control those people in order to create sustainable lands. Telling people that we were created by an "invisible man" gave those people something to believe in, at the same time not giving them the option to refuse the idea (have faith vs. going to Hell). You see, this way was a lot easier than trying to explain the idea of evolution to them (afterall, evolution wasn't even a thought back then).

I am technically a Christian. However in in common with most other Christians I do not believe eveything that is in the Bible. A great deal of the Book was written or dictated by fairly uneducated people. They were writing for their current audience and dramataised a great deal to atract others. It is far easier for a total unbeleiver to understand Adam and Eve that to believe that a Supreme Being crated everything from nothing.

Because of our ability to discern different literary genres in the Bible and offer an interpretation. Revelation is not just simply rendered in terms of histories in the Bible, but in the form of myths, sagas, poems, and short stories to name a few. Truth is not simply correlated with historical facts, but is much more expansive and can be expressed in many forms. Biblical literalism, or what some call fundamentalism, is a method of intepretation based upon a certain worldview and system of convictions, it is not the only way in which either revelation or the Bible can be understood.

A smart person would look at hose stories as metaphors. Also I tend to believe that the stories themselves aren't important but the morals behinds them. To me the story of adam and eve is a story about how you shouldn't disobey god.

Well, if you need fact, do not go to spirituality. Just read the newspaper and wonder what is fact there. Bible is not my favorite scripture ether. Yet, look for the meaning in religious texts for your inner transformation. Meanings are not facts. Facts are not truth.

Clearly not to you.... don't speak of fiction to things that you just have no knowledge of.
When you've studied the bible in depth then you can say so.
Clearly Adam and Eve are factual. It was written, and it is believed. It has been explained. Taught and you can't disprove it so who are you to say? Are you the only one that knows the facts of this world....hmmm I think not.

Because we like the idea of clean methods of reproduction. Rib donation anyone?
...really, I have no idea why people believe it. Maybe if we solve that mystery, we'll understand the psychology behind the human construct.

Because if you don't believe impossible, silly and fairy-tale biblical myths that's an indication you've been tricked by Satan and will burn in hell eternally, according to Christian mythology.
