"Things fall not because they are acted upon by some gravitational force, but because a higher intelligence, 'God' if you will, is pushing them down," said Gabriel Burdett, who holds degrees in education, applied Scripture, and physics from Oral Roberts University.

Neither one... recent advancements in the investigation of 'Intelligent Falling' have led to a more advanced theory... 'Intelligent Earth-suck'.

P.S.: Looking at some of these answers, it amazes me how many christians seem to be unfamiliar with the concept of 'satire'. It also reinforces the idea that 'gullibility' is a necessary precurser to religious belief.

IMHO There is no such thing as 'intelligent falling'. The entire notion is preposterous and an inelegant mind fart emanating from a figment of somebody's imagination.

This is yet another example of someone trying to make up some natural law which doesn't exist based on their interpretation of facts that simply don't wash.

This person or any other proponent of such false doctrine is an idiot and substantiates the fact that ORU is the LAST place one should train in physics or anything else scientific for that matter.

God does not want us to be stupid fools and gave us discernment to filter out the trendy froth of fabrication in the physical sciences.

Did you know Newton recanted his theory of gravitational attraction on his deathbed?

I mean come on, it's such a ridiculous theory! Gravitationists actually believe that small things will go to big things just because they're big! If gravity is true, why don't thin people orbit fat people? And if mass is attractive, then why aren't fat people considered sexy?

IF can explain everything that the THEORY of gravitational attraction does without needing to push God out of the picture, and so it's clearly true, despite what educated and knowledgeable physicists will say.

You know what else is nonsense? Heliocentrism. The BIBLE says the sun goes around the Earth and that the Earth was created first, and if it's in the Word of God, it's good enough for me.

And bats are clearly birds, not mammals! Read your Bible, it clearly states that...

i would not fall for it. *you comprehend it particularly is totally previous due right here and that i in basic terms scoured that link, and oh my god! i'm too drained to type the words that could desire to describe that dogsh*t. If it suits into an equation and can be measured and experimented upon and hence actual shown, then cool, if no longer it particularly is philosophical dogsh*t. that could mean levitation have been possible, even though it particularly is not any longer. With the little information that mankind has of the gravitational rigidity, one element we do comprehend for confident. it particularly is continuous and in no way changing. could the rigidity of gravity be with you. the only falling i bypass to do this night is asleep. bypass examine Einstein's theory of Relativity and clarify to everybody the way you nonetheless don't get it.

I'll stick with our scientific understanding of gravitational force.

My ideas on Intelligent falling is that it is a humorous parody making fun of ID by comparing what ID "scientists" are saying with how it would look if they tried to say something like that about the theory of gravity---which is also "just" a theory. I like the FSM parody even more though! =) ARGHH!

Coming from "The Onion" it makes perfect sense... After all, the earth couldn't orbit the sun unless there was a cord connected to the earth and someone at the sun holding the other end and swinging it.

I will go with gravity. But I accept evolution to be a fact. I think it would be extremely hypocritical to accept the Theory of Gravitation as fact while discarding the Theory of Evolution as fiction.

If you want to go with Intelligent Design (ID) you must also go with Intelligent Falling (IF). If you want ID to be taught in schools as an alternative to the Theory of Evolution, you should also support IF to be taught as an alternative to the Theory of Gravitation. After all, why should "Teach the Controversy" be limited to evolution. The controversy about gravity must be taught as well.

Have you ever seen gravity? Have you been there when it started? Even a lot of scientists today don't believe in that theory!
Don't say you don't feel gods hand pushing you down when you stand on your scale shortly after thanksgiving?!
