It seems that nobody doubts that these two knew precisely what they were doing. What pisses me, is that drugs is far and away the biggest cause of crime and the successive governments of this country have declared an anti drug agenda but will spend substantial sums of taxpayer's money trying to get these retards of the hook. Let these two spend their 10 years in an African prison.

Somebody pays for your hotel (as reported on bbc/news) and ask you to take 2 empty laptop bags back and give to boy at the airport at the other end, suspicious? Errrr YES, oh and their parents thought they were on a school trip and didn't even know they were in Ghana - Great parents!!!!
Sorry but they knew what was going on, who would take 2 empty bags on a flight for someone, my personal fear first is that it could be a bomb then drugs, if they didn't realise (cough) then they are totally stupid and should have been receiving extra schooling in basic common sense, something of which doesn't appear in to many of our cocky children now a days.
sorry girls you deserve to get what ever the punishments are in that country, you BROKE THEIR RULES before ours, let this be a lesson to all potential drug mules. Do the crime Do the Time, no matter where it is - I'm fed up with liberals saying its not nice over there the prisons are in a terrible condition - your choice

They told their parents they were on a school trip to France. Thing is, all sorts of "justice abroad" groups will try to help them just because they are British. If they were from Ghana no-one would care. Stuff them. They broke the law in a foreign country and they have to deal with that country's legal system.

So they got duped, they are not the first they are not the last, and you can bet your last pound that that isnt the actual truth of what happened.
You would have thought that their parents would have told them of the risks.
If they are found guilty then I hope they spend the first part of their sentence in Ghana.
I hope that if they are not British Citizens they are refused citizenship, should they attempt to secure citizenship later, based on the seriousness of the crime.
Personally Id prefer to go further and say if anybody granted British citizenship commits a serious crime, then on completion of any sentence(s) then their British Citizenship is revoked, but that isn't going to happen, becuase it may upset their human rights, and we can[t have that for drug runners can we.....

Id prefer if the government had a zero tolerance on drug smugling, there is no place in our society for this. It's bad enough with asbos, teen drunks, unwanted pregnancies and our standard of living in these filth ridden areas.
Leave em there in Jail. they knew what they were doing was probably illegal.
Hope they never come back and send shock waves around our country that this will not be tolerated.

They said it was laptops they were supposed to bring back.
Like PC World was too far to go, so someone gave them a FREE holiday to Ghana.

a free holiday and a cash payment on delivery completion no doubt... and i agree with Kelly ~ although a pick up man would probably have been used, but i guess they could have tracked the guy or the packages... Those girls knew exactly what they were doing and probably not the first time either...

she would be able to serve her sentence in Laos because of the fact thats the place she have been given caught, no different u . s . can replace that assuming Laos is a sovereign u . s . and not area of american or english empire (which exists in easy terms interior the heads of american and uk electorate in recent times). the only reason she would be able to serve her sentence interior the united kingdom is that if all of those take place: a million)Laos and uk have a extradiction treaty. 2)somebody interior the united kingdom promotes and motions the extradiction in Laos. 3)She resigns her acceptable to attraction or shop scuffling with her case. She accepts the sentence thoroughly and the united kingdom government assure she would be able to serve the time set by Laos government. sparkling?? France tried to extradite a woman kidnapper (french woman) who got here into our u . s . and abducted numerous people, she is dealing with 60 years in prision, the french president got here to visit and plead for her launch to their judiciary equipment, yet for the reason that they cant assure the penalty and the approach isn't over (nor she needs to end arguing) she would be able to be stored in a mexican prision for 60 years.
