this i quite normaml he is scared and his me has just been taken away from his siblings and mum then he will pine of a bit and miss them. Over the first week of having him he will be very scared you will have to build of confidence and trust with him, try sitting near the place where he is hiding with some food and gently in a nice soft voice call him and take to him this may take awail but sooner or later he will want to come out for food whe he does dont make any sudden movements but hold some food out to him still talking in a gental voice. never make any sudden movement around him and do anything to build up trust with him intill finually he will trust you and will come out of the pace where he is hiding now. Good luck with your new kitten but it may take some time for him to adapt to your house.

Don't worry this is perfectly normal. Look at it from the kitten's viewpoint - he has been separated from his mom & siblings, he doesn't understand that you want to love him & give him a home. He is surrounded by new voices, sights & sounds & smells; of course he is frightened. Keep him in 1 room for a few days to give him a chance to settle - this is less frighteneing than having a full house to cope with. Talk quietly to him & feed him from your hands - this is a good way to win his trust. Soon you will be wishing that he isn't quite to confident & mischievous! Enjoy your little fur baby.

This is normal, he is just being somewhere quiet, where he feels safe, until he gets to grips with his new surroundings.
Just let him be. Soon, he will make little forrays into the room and then retreat back into his safe place, then he will come out for a bit longer, then he will start to be less cautious when he sees that no harm comes to him from venturing out.
Give him a couple of days, he will soon be playing with you.

Give him some quiet time and let him come out when he's ready. If he's come from cats protection he may not have been handled much by humans, so it will take longer to gain his trust. Don't forget to leave a litter tray and some food and water close to him.

He might be lonely if was around other animals. But also he is in a new surrounding. Give him some time to adapt to the house and you. Just because he doesn't seem friendly now, it doesn't mean in a few weeks he won't come around. Just continue to give him love and attention.

Yes it seems normal.
It depends on the cat and how long it was with it mother and siblings.
I think you should give him some time to get used to the change .
If he doesn't seem to want to come out after a couple of days put treats out and see if u can get him to come to you.

Don't worry he's just scared. Give him lots of treats and talk in a nice calm voice. He will need lots of reassurance and Patience. Don't pick him up to much until he gets use to you .

Totally normal. He's unsure of his surroundings, away from his "family", and acclimating to the new smells, sounds, environment around him. Give him time... he'll come around.
