I've been told if one of them likes me they'll all follow? I like this one guy and I'm afraid he thinks his friends don't like me...
Here's a basic description of the group:
They are all really preppy and jockish.
They are all loud and obnoxious when they are with eachother, but sweet and shy when you're alone with them.
They are all pretty popular around school.
I mean, how do I make them like me enough to share it amongst themselves? I don't know how to explain it really. Any answers?

Just date that guy. If his friends treat you like dirt, call him a coward for not defending your honor to his friends, then learn why shallow people make bad partners.
Don't try to win over the group. You're an outsider. It's like football. Don't tackle the whole team, just run fast towards the goal. If he responds, you win. If not, you got tackled by the rest of the guys on his team. And you are outnumbered, with no one to run interference.
To be blunt, the only way they are gonna Like you enough is if you become their pass-around-%^&*#. And then you'll never get that guy. Just date that guy, and if it doesn't work out, move on. He might be mature enough, he might not.

There you say they are sweet and shy when you're alone with them, that means they care about how you would think about their behaviour, that is why they are taking it with cautious.
Once, they have get to know you well, they will know, and be used to how you accept them.
If you will act like their friends naturally, doing what they do to each other, they probably will feel more comfortable around you.

Why do you need the attention of all of them? Why not just pick one. It is soooo much easier to capture the heart of one guy, rather than waste your time with all of them.
