Hi,
It's my girlfriends 21st coming up. We have been together 6 years and I don't know what to buy her.
We don't have a lot of money as we are saving desperately for a mortgage.
I want to get something nice and unusual but don't know what. Anyone have any ideas?

buy her an external harddisk for less money or a mp3 player for less money though it might not cost u musch it looks and fells great when u gift these things instead of giving those old tradtional flowers

Why dont you do something for her instead, surprise her when she gets home by putting some candles around and flowers (doesnt cost much) have something really tasty in the oven/fridge to eat that you have made yourself, buy her something small and sexy, that she can change into and give her a home made certificate for a full body massage (done by you of course) and I am sure she will appreciate all the planning and effort, more than something that she may put in the drawer and never use...Just what I would like... but horses for courses as they say...

Sometimes doing something for someone you love is more special than just buying them a trinket... plan a day together doing something fun, and perhaps during the day you can pick up some souvenir of your time together and it will mean more to her than having spent a bunch of money for some "thing". I recall having gone to an open market with my husband where he found me a really unique mug that I treasured for years, you never know what you're going to run across.

I would forget the Tiffany jewellery, everyone has it. Try a jewellers that makes it's own unique one-offs. Do you live near Camden? There is an inside market by the water that has all sorts of unique shops and stalls. Not cheapo stuff, but all sorts of individual items, at prices to suit all pockets.
Oh - and sod the saving, spend a little more, it is her 21st after all!

21 red roses....a full day at the spa with all inclusive treatment, then a hair and make-up session with mnicure thrown in.... a beautiful diamond solitaire necklace, a meaningful birthday card and a great night out....if someone has prepared a surprise party for her then maybe consider getting down on bended knee and ask for her hand in marriage....bit extreme but it don't mean you have to marry her tomorrow, but you would make her the happiest woman in the world and her 21st will be memorable....it's not every day your 21 so make it very special for her....good luck

a low budget idea is a scrap book of pictures it could either be of you and her together try and make it in date order as close as poss that way you can see how you have grown together. Or do one of her life you can ask her parents for old pics of her when she was a child! Something nice for her to keep and also she will be please cause she will see how much effort you have put in to make it for her!

well of course it depends on what type of girl she is but.....there are many things you can do. You could make a dvd of your lives right now, edit it and present it to her on the big day. This will be a gift she will hang on to forever. Or, if you can, paint a picture of her, I'm painting one of my family right now. A surprise party with a lot of friends is always a good way to go too. Good luck!

It depend on what she likes.You can open her a clothing account or a beautifull hand bag cause if I mention box of chocolate is what every girl wants. But she is your girl and you should know her better. Good luck

My bf got me a phone and a bag for my 21st in the past...The phone wasnt much..but bag was really nice...Girls love bags..and when guy gives girl a bag...thats so thoughful...ask ur mum or sister for advice to match her taste though...
