Cops only have to read a suspect his or her Miranda rights if the suspect is being QUESTIONED about the crime, AKA INTERROGATED. So as long as the cop doesn't interrogate the suspect, he doesn't have to read them anything.

The cops can (and must) in the US offer the right to remain silent.

Of course, the mime can always "wave" that right, ha ha.

Yes. The Supreme Court clearly states that every single citizen of the United States, once in custody, must immediately be read their Miranda Rights, regardless of occupation.

lol thats a funny question, but yes, it is required by law that policeman say all that stuff like right to remain silent, right to a lawyer/provided a lawyer.
