Oh my cat loves to bring me her trophies!!
Just because you have a cat doesn't mean they are not going to be mice near by.
Either try and deal with the mice yourself or let your cat wait for them....she will get them eventually

I'm not sure what it is with the mice. We live in the country, have 4 cats, and still occasionally see a mouse in the house. The cats all are good mousers, I just think the mouse population must be huge b/c I get lots of "presents" from my kitties too.

I'm sure your cats will get on top of it fairly soon!
Of the 13 cats I grew up with(in a rural area), all have been hunters to some extent. Only one didn't really hunt (and even then, he would sit outside rat holes waiting for them to come out - he just didn't put much effort in!)
I don't agree that neutered cats don't hunt: 10 of ours were male, all neutered and there is not a creature around! They are mousers, ratters, rabbitters, birders - you name it.
Trophies are indeed icky, but there isn't much you can do - they want to make Mamma proud!
Good luck!

They might not have ever seen a cat before! Hope you haven't had Gizzy fixed. If so he isn't going to be a very agressive mouser. that's why you don't have barn cats fixed.
You held that old saying, "That dog won't hunt" that generally refers to dogs, namely hounds and hunting dogs, that have been fixed because it ruins them as hunting dogs for the most part.. And about the same thing goes for cats and their hunting when they have been fixed especially if he has been declawed as well.

Ah, the joys of mice, we had a couple in the flat last summer, but Penne soon saw to them, leaving one headless on the bathroom floor that I stepped in barefoot when I wandered in still sleepy in the morning.
