I was raised catholic. O.k., and I dont think I am a good one, and I think they have too many of their own rules. Alot of freedom is lost. I bread the silly rules, not the 10 commandmants but the catholic church's silly rules they make up. I've baptized my kids catholic because thats all I know of religion but have not been faithful using the strict rules on them. I feel bad, should We change religion?

You feel that some of the rules in the Catholic Church are "silly", but you feel bad when you break these rules.
Interesting sensation, isn't it?
It's not enough to know what Catholic Doctrine is. You have to understand WHY it is. Learn the "why" behind the "what" and you will not think the rules are so silly.
The Catholic Church is the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, with Jesus Christ as High Priest and King.
God created the universe and everything in it. So why are you so quick to doubt His wisdom when it comes to Church Dogma?
God created life. Therefore, don't you think He is smart enough to tell us how to live our lives?
We are not supposed to decide for ourselves what is the best way to worship. God has already done that for us. We are supposed to conform to the Church. The Church is not supposed to conform to us.
Please read the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It contains the "what" and the "why" behind Catholic beliefs and practices. Reading it can only help you understand.

Well I was also raised catholic but later I changed my religion.
Is good that u stick to the comandments coz those are real and forget about the church rules. Religion is not meant to be a burden and it to make ur existance easier by giving u the perspective of the after life and the meaning of ur life (which is worship ur creator)
I started to question the catholic creed and study some history to understand why the original religion have been changed so much.
Started by why they manipulated the bible. Was the original message of Jesus (PBUH), U might like to read this 2 articles of wikipedia, and once u get the historical explanation u can go and do more research on religion. As I believed in the God that talked to Moses and as well in Jesus, I found islam was the right path to follow. Besides that, I want my kids to understand science and have faith at the same time and is the only religion that doesnt clash with science.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ptolemaic_system
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copernicus
And then if u want can take a look at some reliable islamic websites. (Be careful coz there are a lot of lies out there) www.turntoislam.com is a good one.
Take care and be patient coz this things takes time.

I used to be Catholic. What you can try is an Episcopal church. It has the same basic mass structure as the Catholic church but with a bit more room for humanness.
It doesn't work for everyone but many Catholic refugees have been trying the Episcopal church.
Some people use the church as a vacation from the Catholic church before deciding to go back to Catholicism.
I don't try to convert people. I'm just telling you what worked for me. Whether you try it or not is completely up to you and it's cool either way.

I was raised Catholic too. You outlined some of the reasons I'm not Catholic now.
You should find a church that doesn't rob you of the joy of your relationship with God. One that teaches from Scripture, and not from a human being's twisted take on it.
I belong to an evangelical holiness denomination. I found Christ (or He found me) when I was in high school, and I realized the Catholic church didn't teach me how to even HAVE a relationship with God. After all, the pope says that the "Church," not Christ, is the "means of salvation." I almost missed out on Christ! I love my church (although I'm not endorsing any particular denomination or anything), and I wouldn't trade what I have now for Catholicism.
Try different churches until you feel the Spirit of God when you're there, and you can finally worship God with joy, the way He intended.

Don't feel bad. Don't change religions. You'll just find something you don't like about the new one. Just remember the words of Jesus, "Why do you say me good? There is none good but God."
And, by the way, the Catholic church doesn't have all that many silly rules. I'm not sure which "rules" you're referring to. I guess you mean no contraceptives. Well, have your husband get a vasectomy if you're done having kids.

Catholicism is a religion and there are lots of them to choose from that still do uphold the 10 commandments and the basic tenets of Christian spirituality. If you feel you have to break the rules of your church in order to be happy, then you can't be happy in that church. God wants you to be happy. Find another church!
More importantly, do it before your children are old enough to start wondering why it's okay to break some rules and not others. You need to set a good example for them and it's hard to do it when you don't believe in what you're doing.

In order to determine if what the Catholic Church has taught you, you should read the Holy Bible.
A good place to start would be in the Gospel of John.

Why not think things out and make the logical decision that there are no gods? You don't have to have any religion at all, it isn't compulsory. I was raised a catholic too and am now a happy atheist.
