If he showed up today and said all the things he is credited with saying how many people would actuly believe it ?David Koresh claimed to be the second comming and pretty much everyone said he was a nut job.

It would come down to another burning like that Branch dividians. They wouldnt bother with the mental institution. It would be to dangerous if people started to follow and believe. What would our government do then to have power.

Well, that would depend on whether or not He could have performed the same miracles He was credited with in the Bible or not.

If I saw someone claiming to be the Son of God, and He was able to raise people from the dead, heal the blind and the lame, stop bleeding, heal leprosy, turn water into wine, walk on water, and control the weather, I might believe Him. Especially if everything about Him fulfilled prophecies made hundreds of years prior to His birth.

If on the other hand, He had just been some guy making claims with nothing to back them up, I'd give Him a few hours.
