Yeah its called a targeted Question/Statement.

If I say Aerosmith is the best band, where you are supposed to insert a question, then I'm obviously going to receive many answers with varying views. A majority of the answers will be from people who do in fact admire the band and take enough time to post a significant answer.

Do you comprehend my little explanation? I cannot "Dumb it down" any farther for your comprehension.

As these two are related because you have stated/currently stating that the "Farce" are dim witted; therefore causing people with similar experiences and opinions to share their experiences.

Does not mean you are correct, or just.

Once again; Grow up.

EDIT: Look at what you have brought against yourself.

have looked at your answers and have to conclude you are innumerate as well as idiotic. In answer to your lame question 'Are the police useless' you got a real mixed bag of answers. If you remove the answers which are clearly there as 'oh so funny jokes' and those that are uncommitted then there is actually a majority of people saying the police do a good job in dangerous circumstances. I am assuming that you are one of those annoying people (see 'Norris out of Coronation Street') who see gangs of youths on the street and want them either locked down at home under curfew, or banged up by the police, wasting taxpayers money for minor infractions. Or maybe you've been turned down by the force in the past - either way you seem to be a one issue questioner with an axe to grind. Good day to you sir, in the fervent hope that one day you really need the police and they turn up and do the immensely professional job they carry out 90% of the time despite the b!tchings of ingrates like you. Oh, and another thumbs up for Gump btw... those seem to denote that people are getting very fed up of this questioner.

How can you even think you're right on this. Why would any Police Officer want to give more respect and concern to 'yobs' as you've put it. They operate within strict policy and guidelines which tie our hands at times. but they have to live in the same cities as you. No one wants crime and disorder. You're statement makes no sense!

It isn't so much that the Police are bad, it's higher up the ladder.

If you take an average copper, he/she will tell you that there is too much political correctness, red tape, bureaucracy that makes it harder to do their job.

Yes, there are a few bad coppers, but there are bad people everywhere.

I always try to respect everyone, regardless of their job, race, religion or whatever. By being like this, I find I get along with most people. And I can see by most of your questions you have a problem with the police in general. Why not ask to speak to a senior officer and try and resolve your issues with them, rather than rant about it with people who don't know the full story?

Expectations of what the police should be doing are way too high. We get phone calls about cars parked on double yellow lines ffs.

As for more respect for the yobs, I don't think so somehow, it's the judges and magistrates that let them get away with what they do, not us.

I think the majority of people expect too much from the police, as there is only so much they can do. A lot of the time they are asked by the public to sort out petty squabbles, and asked by their organisation to perform tasks that are really not in their remit: such as bridge building in the "community".

Thats because at 1 am pretty much all the people on the internet are people from other countries or meth heads looking for entertainment. You need to quit your bitching and do something other than complaining about the problems.

I went back and looked at the original question. I don't get that from reading the responses. "Most" of the posters there are not agreeing with your blanket statement that "the police are useless."
