I love to have racing every week, but the teams do need a few weeks off during the year just to regroup. NASCAR doesn't give them many. Not like Formula 1 and some other forms of racing that are only every 2 to 3 weeks.
Like them Sprint Car guys. They race 2, 3, 4 times a week.

Well, I've found a way to cope. I'm going to the Busch race at Gateway International Speedway in the St. Louis area. (The track is actually in Madison, IL). The fantasy Nascar league I'm in is from a friend of mine's work. They have a client who is taking all of us. They are picking us up in an RV around 10am, we are tail gating until the race, then the race, after the race they are providing us tickets for the Tracey Lawerence concert, then they are RV'ing us home!
This will be the 3rd race I've been to (Cup at Charolette and Cup at Texas Motor Speedway) I'm so excited!!
But usually, I'm missing it. Even when there are Saturday night races, my Sunday's seem empty. Gives me a lot more time to clean house though ;o)
TAMMIE I'LL SEE YOU THERE!!

Though I love to watch the races on the weekends and look for them I know this is a good point for the drivers and teams to take a break.
There are sponsor P R events that they have to take care of.There is equipment to up date.
So this is a needed break.
But I'll watch Bobby Labonte at the Barbers Motorsport park in Birmingham the off weekend driving a Daytona prototype car.

I love Nascar, but I like the free weekends too -- I can go to a movie or something with my husband who is less of a fan than I am.

More than likely I will stay up late Saturday night and not get up until Monday morning to go to work. No NASCAR, no point in waking up on Sunday.

I definitely feel that way on off weekends. It kills me come November. It is part of mt weekend routine and I love just kickin' back and watching the race. I understand and I am with you 100%

I know its like the world stops when there is no Nascar!! I just sit there and stare at the TV like " Well, what now?" Sigh, I guess I'll just have to work on my online class....(tears)....:(
