I had massive cramp problems and was advised by a doctor to eat a lot of bananas as they contain potassium. I have lack of calcium and take calcium tablets also and since then I have not had the problems. Thank God!!!! I used to scream with the pain as it used to last so long and even the ambulance crew were unable to alleviate the pain. A teaspoon of salt also helps but I dont advise this with a mum to be. Cramp pain is horrific. Hope you are able to cure it once and for all.

Drink some salt water for rapid relief, and massage the muscle with lavender oil.. or any lavender based lotions that are soothing. This always worked for my patients. Avon has a great range of Lavender for sleep etc.. and thats what I use. Its soothing and cooling, and helps you to relax. I remember the days well, when I woke up screaming in the night and clutching my leg in the air... not nice.... I also got out of bed with great difficulty and placed my foot on a cold floor.. I had tiles in my house.

She could be a bit low in calcium.
You didn't say where the cramping is occurring.
It might be a good idea to ask the doc.
My husband swears by Crampex - but I don't know if that is OK for a mum to be.

Try some chammomille tea or other calming tea. Helps to relax muscles. Feet up and rest. If cramps persist or get worse, call you doc.

so a procedures as drugs, 2 ibuprofen with one tylenol looks to continuously do the trick for me. warm eco-friendly tea, half-hour of low intensity cardio like walking or cycling, and a snooze continuously help too. i for my section think of walking is the basically right, it forces the muscle groups in the component of your physique it quite is cramping to artwork. they might't cramp in the event that they are working! walking additionally releases organic discomfort killers and relaxes the muscle tension.

Cramps? are you sure shes not in premature labor? You should take her to the gynocologist for a check-up. I never had cramps when I was pregnant, that worries me that she does.

If she gets cramp in her calf muscles, tell her to pull her foot upwards so her toes are pointing up. Always worked for me.
