I met my fiance through work, I was working in a building as a receptionist on the main desk and was there the day he came in for his job interview, about 3 months later I applied to work on the reception desk for the company he worked for and I got the job, we went out on our fist date 3 weeks after I started and the rest is history. He is better than my dreams could ever have told me, and I can't wait to be his MRS....

I met Michael at church when we were both 13. We ran with different crowds in high school and never did much other than give the occasional "hi" in the hallway. My mom would ask me later in life (I was 16) if I'd ever thought about dating him but I had never really thought about it. Little did I know that 10 years later he'd email me and ask me out to dinner! I went, of course, and immediately fell in love with him. By our third date he was spilling his guts that he had a crush on me from the first time he saw me and that he never thought he had a chance with me. And here I am, betrothed to the boy my mom always said I should date, the boy I never even imagined being good friends with!

As for what was expected, I didn't have any expectations other than respect. I try not to expect things because life is uncertain and we shape it as we go ( =

At college. And no....I never expected him to be "the One."
When we met, I remember thinking he was a good looking guy, and as we got to know each other we became quick friends. But we even had a conversation early in our friendship (Because a lot of our friends kept asking if we had feelings for one another), and we acknowledged that though we found each other possessing all the qualities of someone we could see marrying, we just didn't have feelings for each other!
Course, about a year after that conversation, we did end up falling for each other, and at that moment, all the cards fell into place. A year and a half after beginning dating, we're now engaged, and it's really a great story to tell: falling for your best friend.

I met my husband on a plane-4 years ago today!!!

I was returning from a trip to Spain, and my plane was routed through Frankfurt. He was walking up the aisle, and even though he´s so tall (he ís 6´4``), I didn´t want to give him my aisle seat. It was if the devil and angel were on my shoulders battling (don´t give up your seat-you´re on vacation) or (give him your seat, he´s so tall, and you´re short, so he´ll be so much more comfortable). Well, the angel won, and we started a conversation that lasted 9 hours-of course, we stopped talking through two movies. I remember, when he helped another German couple with directions on how to fill out customs forms, thinking to myself that he was the type of guy I would like to marry-not him of course, but the type.

We exchanged business cards, and I never thought I would see him again. Months later, I found his business card in my carry on luggage, and I E-mailed him. This past May 18th I married him, and yes, he is everything I expected him to be so far. We had a fight this morning over something we don´t communicate well on, but this is to be expected. If I don´t communicate well, and am silent and go off and cry about stuff, we´re going to have problems. In fact, I need to go to the phone right now, wish him a happy meeting anniversary, and apologize.

Really horrible story actually...

The first time he saw me, I was 15 and laying on the floor of the art room at our high school after I had had two seizures. I looked awful. (At the time I was having many seizures, so i didn't have to go to the hospital, I just had to go home).

We met because he was my best friend's older brother. He was a senior and I was a sophomore so I figured he was off limits (not to mention I figured all of my friend's 5 older brothers were completely off limits, she was my friend after all!).

But we all know how things just happen. He would start eating lunch with his sister's friends out of nowhere. We would both change our route to class so we could pass each others lockers. I started eating dinner at their house more often. We would stay up for hours at night chatting online with each other since we couldn't talk too much around his sister. Eventually he wanted to take me on a real date and we had to come forward. She was pretty mad for about 2 months but after all these years, she has not only accepted it, but is excited I will soon be her sister-in-law (she has only 5 older brothers and no sisters).

Kind of sweet I guess.
Cant wait to read everyone else's. :)

I met my fiance online almost 2 years ago. We were friends for over a year before getting together, and though we've had our rough patches and bumps in the road it's what makes us as strong as we are today. I moved here about 4 months ago and it was the best decision i've ever made. He treats me so well, and i have a step daughter who is simply amazeing. He shows me how a woman is supposed to be treated. He was everything and more i expected him to me. My dreams couldn't even imagine how great he is. I thank god for him everyday, he simply is my hero. Him and my stepdaughter saved my life. I love them with all of my heart!!

Gee, the same question for Men?????
Okay, I haven't and I won't. You see, there are no men in my dreams. Sorry, only women. Beautiful naked women with breastses and skimpy bikinis that feed me grapes and wine. Sorry, must have dozed off for a second.
Seriously, I don't dream, so there is nothing to watch when I close my eyes. I usually get four to five hours of sleep a night. I lay down and wait for the alarm clock to go off. Sounds boring. I think I envy people who dream.

WELL its a weird story, i was dating this guy who used me as a trophy. he had a friend named brett who was really sweet, when we first meet we click strat away, we just got on so well for some reason, anyway i broke up with this guy because i found out a few things about him. brett and i were still friends and kept in contact and one night we bumped into each other at a club and told a friend of mine that he liked me. i didnt wanna date him coz i had dated my friend but he persisted for about 2 months, he didnt make any moves he waited for me. i realised that him and i were obviously ment to be because during those two months we saw more of each other by chance than anything else. we got together one night (he came to fetch to go for dinner) he had roses and my fav sweets on the passenger seat (he remembered my fav sweets and flowers!!! cant believe that) and that night at 12midnight he asked me to be his and i sed yes and we have been together ever since!!!! and i love him more each and everyday!!

Actually met him at church; he was visiting his brother, who was our priest. We started dating after a year, and have now been married almost 18 years. He's MORE than anything I ever expected!
