What a poetic question... What shape is the sky? What colour is your dream?
I would have thought that the sky has no shape, as it's one half of an infinite region. You can think of it like a hemisphere (like half a rockmelon) but that's not really true.
If the sky is simply defined as "not the land" then the shape of the sky depends on where you are. If you're standing on flat ground, then it's like a huge bowl, upside down, with you underneath it. If you're floating in a balloon through the sky, with sky all around you, then it must be more like that rock-melon we talked about earlier.
But if you're imprisoned in a cell with only one small window, then the sky is just a small square of blue.

The sky doesn't really have a shape, it's just there.
However, we observe the sky as a shallow dome (that's one of the reasons that a full moon on the horizon appears larger than when it's above your head. Your mind thinks the moon is further away at the horizon)
If you really want to get technical, you could say the sky is a sphere (encompassing the earth).

I was not aware that anything infinite - the boundless regions of space, as defined by the dictionary - had a shape.
