Some of the people still need assistance. I am afraid I really don't know what is going on there. It has been so confusing; I can only imagine how confusing it has been for the people involved in the hurricane.

I know that a few people from N. O. have come to Alaska. They were able to receive public assistance for places to live, food stamps, etc. I don't know if these people are getting any type of FEMA help though.

the 2nd disaster from Katrina grow to be the undesirable information reporting after the typhoon with connection with the restoration courses and the wear and tear that mandatory to be fastened. not one of the levees that have been breached have been geared up or operated by the army Corps of Engineers. They belonged to the Orleans Parish Water and Sewage Board. The Feds have been given the blame, even nonetheless over $500 million were given to that board over the years to do its activity. The Feds took warmth for ot sending in troops and aspects with particular Naval units, even nonetheless there grow to be no request for that from the Governor or the Mayor of recent Orleans. Now the Feds are taking warmth because of the fact the money which has already been dispensed to the State of Louisiana seems to be shifting down some "mollasses highway" of bureaucratic incompetence in the direction of the aspects which choose alleviation. it particularly is indicative of two issues. First, the comprehensive governmental shape from Baton Rouge to the decrease 9th District of recent Orleans is crammed with corruption and ineptitude. Secondly, inspite of FDR passing away over 60 years in the past, particularly some people in this u . s . think of of the President as some variety of "Federal Wizard King". that's the comparable team which has in no way examine Article II of the form to be sure what the President's activity is.

I thought FEMA was reclaiming funds given out due to overpaying. OVERPAYING. Half the city is still in ruins and they are taking help away. Angelina Jolie can start a sudanese adoption trend but noone want s to help their own. Pathetic.

I hope they did extend it. Those people need help. They arent getting it from where they should.
