I am trying to start up a business as a personal "maid" to a bride on the day of her wedding. I know how much my friends have been stressed by their family and my role would be to step in and run interference. The business would focus on the bride. I would fetch her drinks, get food, block relatives, help her get ready, provide manicures/pedicures/massages and wait on her throughout the day. Everything would be tended to so that she could enjoy the day.

That's the role of a wedding planner, or best friend. You could call it "Bride's Best Friend." For a unique business like this you should ask all kinds of people if they would pay for that.

Once you are ready to start out, take a few courses in business to support your success. You might try being an apprentice to a wedding planner for a year or so, then get your licenses, and go for it!

Actually I think this is a great idea! This is sort of what wedding planners do but more focused on brides and I think that's a unique spin. I'm not sure you'd make a lot of money at first because people don't think they need this but I'm getting married next spring and would totally hire you if you're in LA! My mom and best friend are my honor attendants but I know they will be concerned about their own hair and makeup and be somewhat high maintenance for me. It's a nice idea for brides to have someone else help them out!

You could give it a try, I wouldn't quit my day job over it yet, and see what happens. You might be a good gift to get the bride from someone. I don't know, I had a good set of friends and family that did all this for me, but some people may not be that lucky. Best wishes!

<>It sounds good. I would, however, check to see if that falls into the category of Wedding Planner (although I think your idea is of a more personal service than a planner). You might get some additional ideas from the Planner job description to add to your business plan.

I think it is a good idea..

When I first read your question I thought by "Marriage Business" you mean that you are going around marrying rich guys and getting divorce and making money... Now that is surely a great business !!

Sorry, I don't see any use for that at all. Who would hire a stranger for such personal things? Maybe for a princess?
