You are not dumb. You have an eating disorder from the sounds of things and possible other things going on. I was in complete denial and was like I don't have an eating disorder and leave me alone I am just never hungry and need to lose weight but then I went into a program and I saw finally that I did truly have an eating disorder....anorexia. For your size you are at a good, healthy weight even if that's not what you want to hear. You really do need to go see a Nutritionist or a Psychologist even though you stated that you do not want to. it will help and they will show and teach you how to eat to where you do not have to gain weight but maintain and just eat healthy. If you would like to talk sometime you can IM me at jsbinal or click on my pic an email me ok. I have been where you are. I do hope you will seek Professional help and wish you the best~

I too have an eating disorder. I think that you are at a healthy weight but this doesnt mean that you dont have an eating disorder because when you say on here that you want to lose weight it tells me that no matter what weight you are at you arent going to be happy. Which isnt a good thing. I dont want you to get as low as I am because its totally unhealthy and you deserve to be healthy? I would like you to chat or email me though so we can discuss this more. tammyvanne for y messenger or tammyvanne@yahoo.com. I have a lot more questions for you and I dont know if I should ask them on here because I dont know how far into this you want to go on here.
If you do have beginnings of an eating disorder its not to late as long as you find someone whos knowledgable about this and can help you though this. Im not a doctor and I cant tell you for sure over the internet if you have an eating disorder or not but it does sounds like ED NOS

Yes, I recognize this. You suffer from a distorted body image. If you do not address this issue, you could develop an eating disorder. I have experienced the same thing in the past. I am 6 feet and thought I was heavy at 119! I look at those photos now and see I was way too skinny.
If you don't want to get help professionally, which is what I really would suggest, then at least educate yourself on the topic. Read lots of books and articles about distorted body image and low self esteem.

If you recognize an eating problem, you're at least ahead of people who have one and don't think they have a problem. It sounds like you really need a support system, i.e. people who can help you psychologically as well as physically. Are you at risk of feeling like you have to lose weight even if you get to a normal weight? You might check out a local Overeaters Anonymous group, which (despite it's name) not only helps overweight but also people who have other issues about their body image (body image dismorphia, bulemia, etc). If you're really just wanting more of a regular weight loss group, there's always the gold standard of Weight Watchers which has the combination of people supporting you and realistic eating advice.

That may be called anorexia nervosa. Sometimes, anorexia do not necessarily means not to eat anything, but it's the fear of getting fat and the uncomfortable feeling of "thinking" one is fat as happens to pacients with body dismorphic disorder. Relax and research. It's good to know you're concerned and that you admit it because eating disorders are often linked to being secrets to the person who has them, being the first burden to break in order to begin any treatment.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, you're in an excellent shape according to you BMI (Body Mass Index). Check it yourself at: http://www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?s=health&m=plans/tools/bmi/control . For a little bit more information about eating disorders go to: http://www.edap.org/ . Good luck, hon! =)

:do something to occupy your time by fast, and have fun :) or you could eat a balanced meal, do something productive, and if you have an area, or a close place to home you can go to, just go for a jog, i do that everyday, and its a great way to get alone and think, like what i'm going to do when i get home, what am i gonna do with my life, stuff like that, you're not dumb, so many people i know go through what you're going through, you're not fat, not trying to make you feel bad or anything, but body structure does have effect on the outer look of people, my friend who weighs likes 110, has wide hips, her bone structure is just like that, shes not fat.. but just do something daily. if you have a friend that lives closeby, give them a call, and ask if you can go for a jog and stop by their house for a bit.. be safe :) and good luck!

I'm not trying to lecture or make you feel bad but you do need professional help. Even a licensed counselor could help you to have more self esteem and confidence-but I would also recommend you see a physician to evaluate if your lack of appetite could be related to a physical disorder. Good luck to you.

a lot of the time someone looses or gains weight sparatically because of emotional problems. it might seriously be best for you to go see a phyciatrist or something. it would probably really help. i know how you feel. i'm like that too sometimes even though i've been the same weight for a year now.
