If you want to really know if it is legit, take it to your local police station and ask them to verify it. Save yourself a lot of stress. They will help you find out if it is legit and if it isn't the perpetrators will be punished. Haven't you posted this question like 3 times now? True story, I received a real check in the mail for $500,000, alls I had to do give my bank info in order to cash it. Guess what it was a con. Thank God I didn't put myself $500,000 in debt. You better have it investigated if you know whats good for you! Go to the UK lottery website, they will tell you that you have to purchase a ticket before you can win. It is not a free lottery. Did you purchase a ticket? If you did then it is worth checking out, if you didn't your most definately being scammed. They have a big warning at the top of the page about e-mail scams, try reading it.

The only way to win the UK lottery is to purchase a ticket, and then check your numbers. You don't get an email out of the blue with the promise of a check.

See this link on the official web site with information about this kind of fraud.

This sure is a tough one--and yet I think we all face this possibility.

I would strongly suggest you are absolutely sure they do not ask you for ANY money to obtain it nor ANY bank information credit card, etc. If they give you these "requirements" they are probably helping themselves to YOUR money. Check the name through some AUTHORITY: a bank, lawyer, or perhaps even police. If they are absolutely clean ask them why or how it happened to be. If you are too stressed over it (which may be wise) don't be afraid to turn it down. Good luck.

Sure, all you have to do is send them your Social Security Number, your credit card numbers, and your bank account number, and a couple of thousand dollars for a processing fee. Then wait patiently for your lottery check to arrive.

The Easter Bunny will probably make the delivery as he makes his rounds delivering eggs.
