Does anyone know how to get the music to play during an entire slide show on powerpoint?

I know how to add the sound file but when I play the slide show the music starts up again on the next slide. I tried the "loop the music" option but I still didnt get it right.....HELP!!!

Insert your sound clip on slide 1. Right click on the speaker icon on your slide and select "Custom Animation". Where your track is listed in the Custom Animation pane there is a drop-down menu - click on this and choose "Effect Options". Choose "Start Playing" - from beginning, "Stop Playing" After .... You should now get your music through the whole slide show.
